I’ve been eating at El Rey for about 10 years now. The staff is wonderful and the food has been amazing every step of the way. Their pupusas are always 100% on point and their carnitas is great on everything ESPECIALLY the Carnitas fries which have become the #1 item recommended by my coworkers. If you want food good enough to make your soul dance try this place out.

My partner and I went here on a date night and were very pleased. The free nachos and salsa were delicious. The chicken tacos were great, as were the beans and rice. Everyone was very kind and service was very fast. We were charmed by the plants on the tables and colorful atmosphere. It was like we found a hidden gem and we’ll definitely head back with our kids sometime (they’d love the claw machine). I wish I took photos, but I snarfled my food down quickly.

While out shopping we came across this place on the map and were in the mood for Mexican. I was excited to see a California burrito on the menu, so I went with that and also ordered the “mixed” pupusa and a chicken and cheese pupusa. They must have missed my last one since I ended up with just a mixed and a cheese. No biggie. My wife ordered the potato flautas and a side of guacamole. I’ll say while tasty, the side of guacamole is kind of chintzy in size for the price. Again, not too big of a deal. Liked all of the sauces and the jar of pickled veggies. Had a great Jamaica tea as well (love hibiscus tea!) California burrito was pretty good and the pupusas really hit the spot. I’d like to try out more of the menu.

Honestly pretty good. The only thing is i can tell they are not mexican im pretty sure they are from El Salvador considering they have tamales but el Salvadoran style and they sell pupusas. Also the food was pretty much not spicy like almost at all i would say like 10 percent spicy or something maybe lower idk but it was still good food but if your a big fan of the spicy from mexican food it might not be the way to go ngl.

Poor service. The restaurant said it close at 22:00. I came at 21:35 and they don’t have nothing else besides tacos. The whole menu was close. You should change the serve hours if you don’t wanna serve people
