We tried this place for the first time about 2 months ago and never looked back! There are multiple fast Mexican food places on this same street. This is the only place that has quality and flavor! The carne asada fries base is a large flour tortilla that’s perfect to cut up and pick up the remaining fries and carne! My husband loves the shrimp and steak burrito. My kids eat the rolled tacos that have delicious shredded meat. I will warn they do take a bit longer at the drive-through, but it’s worth the wait and other places on the same street take just as long. You won’t regret switching over!

First visit to this place, seemed reasonably priced. It’d be nice having chips with it because the hot sauce is awesome. Got a Carne Asada Torta…very flavorful, soaked into a hoagie like bun. Could have had more meat or filling ingredients for the price but it had very quality flavor. Will return when I’m camping around town, traveling by bus conversion @orbshuttle (+ on insta)

This is why this place is not essential. I ordered a shrimp burrito thinking I was getting the Diablo because it looked so addicting and all shrimp burritos come with rice and when I called to tell her there is barely anything in my burrito she said it was my fault because I didn’t order the Diablo shrimp burrito…so the regular shrimp burrito is $9 and has thisuch in it. FYI don’t order the shrimp burrito unless you say DIABLO and if you can’t do spicy oh well the regular doesn’t come with RICE

This cotijas, now EL REYs, has the best hot sauce and I want them to give me the recipe LOL! But I’m trying to tell you that this one has the best hot sauce in San Diego! Know that each (was cotijas) has their own salsa recipe. But this one I will drive further for! And you have to try the fish rolled tacos and get extra sauce on it because it will change your life! One of the best taco shops I’ve had. The prices are low but the quality was great. All the food we ordered was hot, fresh, and flavorful without being overly salty, and the hot sauce was amazing. And we got our food quickly. Great first experience, will definitely order again.
