We came here because of all the good reviews but were sadly let down. It took way too long to get seated so we were close to leaving. They charge you for water… and our chicken and steak were dry. Our waitress was very nice and it was a fun vibe inside but overall I wouldn’t recommend

Stopped in for lunch with the family and so glad we did. Greeted by super friendly staff and amazing service on top of excellent food and amazing decor. Tacos Al Pastor is my go to and these were some of the best I’ve had and the prices were cheap for anywhere let alone a Jersey Shore location in the summer. Also BYOB. It was authentic, cozy, and super friendly. Will definitely be back soon!

The food was really good. The restaurant had a nice cute little vibe to it.( This little new location in belmar will sure have people running to try it ) Their are Nice little murals on all the walls. All the chairs they have like kid like cartoon/ happy designs. We got two of the quesobirra quesadilla(after hearing after the belmar food tour how great it was) and a chimichniga and chips. The salsa was great. The guacamole and chips were amazing came with a lot of chips and guacamole. One of the guys who was working was so very nice my order took a little bit longer so he gave us some chips and Verde salsa while we waited. The girl on the phone was super sweet as well. I also tried their chorizo burrito and I am sure a fan. The steak chimichanga is absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to keep coming back and trying the other things their menu has to offer.

The food is so good here. During COVID, we had ordered it for takeout, but honestly, it’s even better when you dine in. The service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and fun. She made sure our food came out just as we ordered it. El Rey honestly makes Mexican food also be comfort food. Simply delicious.

Had a late lunch today with a friend. I had been to their restaurant in Asbury Park two years ago and the food was delicious , so when we were in the Belmar area we figured we would try their new restaurant. I asked to have a chicken burrito without the tortilla due to I have an allergy to gluten as well as dairy. My friend had the chicken quesadilla which she said was good. Mine was good but there was very little chicken , it was chopped in very small pieces and there was very little black beans , there was mostly rice.
