The service was excellent! During my visit, I was approached by staff and asked if everything was ok. If I needed anything? Very friendly. The food. Wow, I had a chile verde burrito. Delicious!! The salsa/ chips perfect. As I was leaving they asked if I wanted a refill for my drink. Just awesome service. Thank you El Rey Mexican Restaurant.

My boyfriend seems to love this place for some reason lol I’ve gave it multiple try’s way more than I really should have. Had the super burrito their salsa is watery in it and literally soaks your whole burrito, had the taquitos they were burnt and basically hallow. Just got their “red enchilada” if you could even call it that. I don’t know if they taste their food before selling it to other people but their beans, rice, chicken and basically everything else on their menu has no flavor. The red sauce is basically non existing with the huge lack of flavor there. The Mexican rice is basically white rice with a hint of food coloring. The chicken basically soaked in water like they just pulled it straight out of a bucket of water and threw it all together…over all you could spend your money else where for cheaper and better food. Other than me picking apart the enchilada, this is literally how my food was made.

We went here awhile back and food was great. Today we went to get lunch and I ordered a chicken enchilada plate. There was no lettuce,tomato,sour cream, guacamole like before. The rice is so bland taste like it’s only tomato sauce no garlic,bell pepper,onion nothing bland as it could be. Really disappointed since we had went before and the food was excellent! But not today they really should taste the food before serving the service is excellent really nice people in there but for 37$ for what we ordered is not worth the price the quality is not great at all. They need a better cook. Salsa also was not spicy it honestly tastes bland. Whoever cooked months ago was better then this today

I place an order over the phone for 3 caldos de res they are the best in flavor , this little restaurant is really good in flavor they have a breakfast burrito that is super delicious i usually add extra bacon and prices are ok considering what you get some may think is a bit expensive but trust me you are paying for the closest to mexican aunthentic food .

We only go here when we are lazy and don’t feel like cooking but this place never fails on taste and authenticity. I use to get a burger and fries from here and that was amazing too I don’t even know if they have that anymore but now I usually get a breakfast burrito or a super burrito and it’s always AMAZING
