El Rey Mexican Grill was started in 2015 when the culmination of hard work and a dream merged. Our founder Mr. Cienfuegos worked hard for many years in the back of kitchens learning the ins and outs from dishwasher to waiting tables. Since a young age, Mr. Cienfuegos has a passion for business, and after years of apprenticeship, he took a leap of faith and opened our First location in Fontana, CA. A city densely populated by many restaurants. However, our commitment to providing authentic Mexican Food that is rooted in Family traditions and recipes has proven to validate our place in the restaurant industry for the last four years and counting. We hope to keep serving you for many more years to come!

Ordered over the phone for pick-up was quick, but it seemed rushed. Food wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either had the carne asada fries. Googled carne asada fries first place that pop up looked good and was 4.3 stars, so I gave it a shot like I said wasn’t bad but could’ve been better the fires need to be more Krispy.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and they seem to do renovations fairly frequently. That’s neither here nor there, but it does show they care for their business. They’ve got good food and are never disrespectful or aloof. I can’t speak to a great variety of stuff since I usually get the asada fries. It’s like 13 bucks which is a bit high, but easily some of the best I’ve had in my many years having asada fries. Hope the recipe never changes. And I hope they don’t go back to styrofoam containers. All good stuff!

Showed up early for a Mexican desayuno. No coffee, stale chips for salsa, chorizo was burnt. I guess we showed too early on a Saturday morning.

Food was really good. I will be coming back to that place in the future. Wasn’t too big of a place but wasn’t too small. They have a free chips and salsa. Staff was courteous. Facility wasn’t dirty and the price wasn’t too bad but you know how everything is going up lately.
