This restaurant is awesome! The food is made to order, so do not be in a hurry. True Mexico style cuisine!

This place is just opening, so they’re little slow. They have takeout, which also interferes with what the kitchen can put out for the dining room. The food was excellent! Probably the best guacamole I’ve had anywhere. The atmosphere is a bit Spartan, and they do not have beer wine or liquor. So no margaritas with your dinner. I plan to go back, and I have every belief that they are busting tail to make this place go.

Best authentic Mexican food I’ve had since being in San Antonio and Mexico. The chips and salsa were very good. You get a trio with traditional green salsa, hot red salsa and then a cheesy type dip with peppers in it. I ended up getting a chicken chimichanga plate with rice and beans. The rice was so flavorful, not like the typical texmex rice you get that tastes the same at every restaurant. Everything was very flavorful. Will definitely be going back!

It’s seems to be a low budget operation with probably the owner doing the work out front while trying to get ahead. Thus the service is a bit slow so don’t be in a hurry. The food is very authentic and tastes great. I had the Barbacoa Burrito and is was delicious. Their salsas are Very hot and a little goes a long way. They have 3 versions ranging from Hot to Hottest. My husband said his Quesadilla was very good. This is real authentic food, they do not have sour cream for instance. Give them a try.

Eating lunch at El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant. Their food is really authentic Mexican food, no TexMex food here. Our food was delicious and very flavorful. The salsas are amazing, I still have a tingle on my tongue, very tasty and hot. If you love hot salsa, you need to try them. A must for Mexican food lovers.

I hate to write a bad review, but I ordered barbacoa and didn’t get it. It was beef, maybe brisket, but it was dry and not Barbacoa. There was only one person working the dining room and attention to the customer was low. It seemed like the server might also be the cook, I don’t know. I hope things get better, because the beans and rice were good. Just let your customers know that the thing the are ordering is not actually that thing. I would have ordered something else. Additionally, you receive a very small amount of chips and for more chips you get charged.

First time dining at El Rodeo. So glad we did and will be coming back often. Best tasting authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had. Staff is very friendly. I had the Burrito de Asada plate and my wife had the Chicken Chimichanga plate. These came with refried beans and Spanish rice. The flavor was amazing. We also had their freshly made Guacamole which is the best tasting we’ve ever had. They also provided freshly made corn chips with 3 different types of dipping sauces which had good flavor. We highly recommend this restaurant.
