As I’ve said in other reviews, I was born in and lived in Texas for 30 years, so I’m picky about Mexican food. This place was *packed* on a Friday night. The line was out the door, and we almost left. I’m glad we didn’t. We were told 25 minute wait when we gave our name, but it ended up being literally 5 minutes. Nice seating and ambiance. Loud, but was crowded.

Ordered a smoked margarita, there were bugs in the drink from the live flower they put in the drink. They took the drink off the bill and replaced with the blood orange drink. All the filling in the three burritos we ordered were Luke warm. I understand it was 7:30 at night but it should not matter what time you order your food. It should all be prepared fresh and hot

Time for Mexican food at the El Rodeo in Brunswick Maine. The atmosphere feels Mexican. Fun, relaxing, causal. Excellent food. Our waiter spoke more Spanish than English which made it more like an authentic experience and fun. Another waiter came and verified a couple of our requests, so no issues. Come and have fun in this exciting Mexican restaurant.

My fajitas were tiny little giblets of chicken, not large succulent pieces, like i was given the bottom dregs of a marinade bag. They were brought out to me luke warm which is funny since the menu read “sizzling fajitas”. Thus, i cannot give el rodeo five stars. The ambience was warm and inviting, the decorations vibrant and bright, and the staff was freindly and attentive. My party all did build your own burritos and enjoyed their food, salvaging their poor showing on my fajitas. I would return to give them a second chance.
