Me and my friend should’ve known better than to go here as soon as we saw that the place was empty. our food had absolutely no flavor. I couldn’t even finish my entrée. My taco salad had absolutely little to notoppings on it. I asked the waitress if I could have extra toppings, and she did not inform me that I would be charged extra, when I went up to pay for my ticket, they informed me that I was charged for my extra toppings. I informed them that I could not finish my meal and I informed them that I was not notified that I would be charged extra for something. I asked if I could be compensated, and all they did was takeoff the extras for the toppings, which was only two dollars , I asked the woman at the cash register if she could take the taco salad off and she refused. I do not recommend going here. They obviously don’t care about what they are serving their customers nor care if someone enjoys their food. Hopefully my review matters and helps others to avoid going here. also, the service is terrible. We were the only customers there for a good minute and we were not waited on.

I don’t understand why some of the other reviews are so low. This place is some of the best Mexican food in the Austin and surrounding area especially out here. We love driving to Lampasas from Leander to go swimming at Hancock Springs and working up an appetite to come eat here. Good Tex-Mex/ Mexican food is really hard to come by, especially being from South Texas. Their tortillas are delicious, good portions. Fresh, delicious enchiladas and carne guisada. The service is always great too and everyone is friendly and helpful.

My fiancee and I live in Leander and drive 40 miles to El Rodeo because it’s the best tex mex food in the north Austin area. That’s correct, in all of north Austin nothing compares to El Rodeo. Always delicious. Staff is amazing. Please don’t change anything.

I ordered 3 meals and sent my daughter to pick it up because I’m on bed rest. This is how my food was packed. All 3 meals. I have never been so disappointed in any food service establishment. I paid $51.90 for this food, for it to look like this on my plate. On a good note, the sweet tea was good.

Came here for dinner on our road trip. I got the El Rodeo plate. Which was moreless like nachos but with carne asada and guacamole. Wasnt too bad but they used shredded cheese, the carne asada was done perfectly. Another thing i liked was the refried beans was homemade and not the kind in the can. They did have some really good horchata, about the best I’ve ever had. The ceiling was a bit weird, spray foam painted black, other than that it was a great experience

Price is about double the value. $32 + dollars for a very simple dish is really excessive. I would have tipped a lot more for the attentive service, but dang!! I can get a great meal in Waco for less!!
