The food was pretty good and there are a few unique items on the menu. The service was very good, I didn’t know what I wanted and just asked the waitress to recommend something, which she did. I also had a good margarita, which I recommend. Lastly, the chips were fresh and the salsa is pretty good, it has a bit of a smokey flavor to it. Nice place!

We stopped in for dinner on a Monday, on the way home from Show Low. The food is wonderful! I loved the chile verde chimichanga, and my dining partner enjoyed his quesedilla. Liz, our server, was great. She kept our drinks filled and brought more chips and salsa (which were very good also!) The decor is tasteful, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. We will stop there again, whenever we are passing through Payson.

This place is fantastic. I had the shrimp and carne asada taco, and a chile relleno, and my wife had a chicken fajita enchilada. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch. We also had the ceviche tostada to start, which was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

I usually judge a good Mexican restaurant by its salsa, this one is no different. One word: Amazing! El Rodeo is authentico! They have the best Mexican food in this area. Highly Recommend!

3rd time there……the food was great the first 2 times…………this time we couldn’t get someone to wait on us! It was my birthday….they were not busy at 2:30pm……couldn’t even get a water refill? Let alone someone to take your order . After sitting there for over a hour we got water and 30 minutes later I got my cocktail…..margarita! It was good but took forever! Why? There were plenty of employees standing around??? Doing NOTHING.?? Why??

Great Chile rellenos! Much better than the 1st time I had them there. Overall, I think this is a great restaurant. the only problem they have is sometimes preparing the food the same way each time.
