We came from out of town for personal reasons and came across this place looking for some Puerto Rican food and were not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection. We had the tostones the sweet bananas black beans arroz gandules pernil chicken empanada with meat chicken sandwich. Our server had so much patience with us and was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place and return if we make it back to New Jersey.

Pretty affordable food and everything is made fresh. Since everything is made fresh, you will have to wait a while. Highly recommend the alcapuria or the empanadas.

The chef was great! First time here and tried the bistec. It was delicious and cooked perfectly! Also tried the cheese and beef empanadas which were equally as amazing! Next time have to come for the ox tail!!

this is the ONLY PR restaurant in all of JC. the cuisine is delicious! it’s the closest we will get to the old restaurant in Downtown from the 80’s and 90’s called Hernandez off of Christopher columbus. Tons of Dominican restaurants but no PR restaurants and before anyone says they are the same, THEY ARE NOT. the only thing is you will smell like cooking oil after leaving that place.

How is this a Puertorican restaurant? Does not feel like Puerto Rico at all! No Puerto Rico employees lol food does not look or taste like real PR dishes.. it’s like eating at a Mexican restaurant but the food is made by non Mexican? Makes no sense! This restaurant should not be associated with anything PR related since it’s not

I use to be a frequent customer after today. Constantly getting disrespected verbally with dirty looks from the owner as well as her staff. Today I ordered steak sandwich, & this is what I recieved. A Steak inside a bread with no chesse, onions, or tomatos. Food quality sucks, is pricey, & owner claims to be a Christian but lack respect. Continue to treat your customer this way, & I see you shutting down in the near future.

I went to eat here for the first time and I was highly disappointed with the prices and the staff. The waitress forgot we were there since she didn’t check not even once if we needed anything which we did! Dirty tables around us since we got there and the place wasn’t even busy. They had maybe 5-7 people working and no one seem to care about our table? I had to stop another waitress to ask for our bill and it still took her for ever to bring it and once she took it we waited over 20 minutes for it so I had to get up and ask a lady and she just says “oh yeah it’s been charged it’s here”… so my card was just there in the counter while they all sat around doing nothing seriously do not recommend. The service is horrible and food not even great.
