I will start with the pros of this place . 1st the waitress was super nice . 2nd the food came out fast. Now the cons of this establishment. The place was disgusting and dirty . I put my arm in some salsa that was in the table . The salt and pepper shakers were gross . It was dead in there so there is no excuse. The menu is was over priced compared to other restaurants in town . The guacamole was average . Queso cheese was flavorless. The tacos I got were suppose to be chicken steak shrimp mix and there was no shrimp and the sauce on them had a horrible flavor . Rice was the only plus of the place . I would rate this place one step above Taco Bell .

Unfortunately we couldn’t really understand our server very well. It took a long time to get our ticket and they were about to close. Another waiter actually had to ask if we were finished and ready for our check. The food was great except for the corn appetizer.. do not recommend unless you’d like to blow the pot up later..

I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with El Salto a couple of weeks ago when I tried to use a gift card I received from a friend that I got for Christmas. They told me it was expired. It had been just under 8 months ago I received the gift card. I was told the gift cards expired in 6 months. Has anyone ever heard of this that a gift card would expire in 6 months? I could not believe it. So ElSalto pocketed the money for that gift card. The manager asked me if I had the receipt, which I did not. My friend did not include the receipt. Please be aware if you buy a gift card to A) Keep the receipt and B) Use within 6 months OR my personal suggestion, DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD FROM ELSALTO PERIOD!!

Extremely disappointed to see what happened to the place. Nothing like how it was a few years ago. The booths and the seats were filthy. The fabric was covered in big stains. When they brought our fajitas the potholder-type handle cover of the dish looked disgusting, like it’s never been cleaned. The food came out so fast it makes you wonder just exactly how it’s “prepared” in the kitchen, tasted like a microwave was involved. We regret that we didn’t walk out after we were taken to our seats. Not coming back.

Was very pleasantly surprised with this place. I saw the TV ads and thought it might be a little hokey but decided to give it a try. We had chips and exceptionally good homemade salsa within a minute of being seated. Our drinks were there a couple minutes after that. We ordered Queso Fundido for an appy, with corn tortillas. The tortillas were obviously homemade, hot and fresh. Wsa en excellent appy. I had the chimichangas and my wife had enchiladas and a quesadilla. Everything was really good, hot and fresh. I’ll definitely be back!
