We ate here on Saturday, 2/25/23. It’s a smaller space, with a long bar, and a kitchen/food prep space you can see from the dining area. Service was immediate, and with constant attention. My glass was never empty. Food quality wasn’t outstanding – it was EXCEPTIONAL. Both chicken and pork had that “soft but chewy” quality unique to REAL Cuban cooking, with the sweet and tangy taste. The finishing vegetables and herbs MADE the dishes, all perfectly cooked. And the sauces – OH, THE SAUCES. Be sure to try ALL of them on EVERYTHING. You won’t be disappointed. I thought pricing was reasonable for both service and food. Portions were LARGE and ended up going home with us. Overall, A+++ experience. We’ll be back!

• I enjoyed the lavender margarita. I just wish it had been served in a larger glass.

Went for happy hour with a girlfriend. The bartender Edwin was so nice and made us feel like we were long time customers. I got the hibiscus sangria it was delish. We tried the tostones, empanadas and churros. Churros definitely impressed me, they were the perfect crunch.

Just finished (3/4/23) dinning at El Sapo. The seasoning and presentation of the dishes were excellent!! Drinks were also spot on. Don’t let the steam rice fool you…it’s not the plain stuff, well season with garlic and other goodness . Sample the small bites and have an entree. You won’t be disappointed.

Been before and it wasn’t bad at all. Went yesterday with the family and the service was poor. Got the wrong drinks the first time around the got drinks late the second time around. Ordered the chicken and waffles and they came burnt. I understand the kitchen may not be perfect 100% of the time but even the waitress look at me as if I should eat the burnt food. When I told the waitress that my food was burnt she apologized and got another side of waffles for me. (Great?) When the bill came I was charged twice, for my original order and a side of waffles.

The whole fried fish was amazing. It was so bomb. The croquets were delicious as well. We loved the margaritas too. Great chill vibes. Only thing is it would be cool if they hired an actual Cuban or two, I only say this because I went to Cuba and the waitress looked at me mad wild because she was from mexico and couldn’t resonate with my cuban stories. lol.

El Sapo Cuban Social Club has a great atmosphere and service, but it needs to improve its food. It has potential to be a great Cuban restaurant, but it falls short in some areas. I would give it another chance if they fix their issues, but for now I can only give it 3 stars out of 5. The mojitos were really good however.

I love coming back to this place. Staff is super friendly and food is excellent. “Chúpate los Dedos” makes me always come back; it is a pork meat pieces that have been sunk in lemon juice for days then they fry them and served with onions, cilantro and sweet and sour sauce. Wow, excellent flavor and staff always asking you if you’re alright, if you’re in need of help/anything. A place to have on “repeat” every single week!!!

This Restaurant has no shame. How are you really about to put tables on the Church’s property like you don’t already have enough tables out right next to it. If you don’t want anything to do with God that’s on you but have some respect. We all have been there but the fact that you don’t have any consideration or respect by playing extremely loud music and getting intoxicated on a church’s property is out of pocket.
