Mexican Villa’s El Taco is a great throwback to the days when you cruised up and down Kearney Street in your hot rod. The food is great, and the signs around the dining room remind you of times long ago.

Hadn’t ever been to the El Taco, but stopped by to get a burrito enchilada style. Hadn’t ate one in several years. It was still as good as I remember. Tried to go another night to get some tacos and you unfortunately must close early at 9pm. Wish you would stay open another hour n close at 10pm, cause most places do…I received good customer service when I stopped in.

I ordered a burrito enchilada style found a big hair in my food, and they refused to replace it. I called and talked to the manager would not recommend. Nasty!!

My burrito enchilada style was full of raw onions-GROSS! I have ordered this for almost 30 years and it has never come with onions. I could only eat the sauce, lettuce, and tomato that was on the side as you can see in picture. The chips were stale and the cheese dip was cold. I could have gone somewhere else to eat 3 times for what I spent and would have actually gotten full. All of the Mexican Villas used to be my all time favorite places to eat but not anymore. The food just isn’t the same quality at any of the locations I have been to in last few years.

It’s pretty evident that the employees are untrained in even the most basic of Mexican Villa cooking skills. A square burrito missing burrito sauce and containing entirely too much beef and beans? Yeah, ratio matters. Seriously, Phyllis. Who is teaching these people?

Food was Terrible. Chicken Enchiladas were full of Onions. Never in my 20 yrs of eating the Villas Enchiladas Never have they been so full of Onions. The Chip’s were Steal from day before. And the sides were not the size we ordered and charged for. I will not be eating El Taco again.

Great food and portions. First time we visited and will definitely be back. The cheese sauce and tacos were perfect.

It’s a cheap, run down fast food version of Mexican Villa. If you just want the MV favorites quick and don’t care about having a nice dining area this is what this place is aimed at.

It’s a great place to eat out this way my second time and I always seem to gravitate towards the fajita burrito. The portions are great for the price, all in all a very pleasant place to eat.

The place is run down. The people who work there all look dirty. The chips were stale and the sancho enchiladas style was dull and didn’t have any flavor to them. Over all 30.00 was too much. 20.00 maybe but not worth 30.00.. the best Mexican villa is the one on National and Bennett.
