This was a great pitstop. The staff was amazing and the tacos are great. Got the Mahi fish tacos and the steak tacos were amazing. The rice and refried beans were the perfect side. Our picky teenager gave his stamp of approval to the Quesadillas, and our kido discovered he actually liked refried beans that came with the kids chicken taco. All around a great find, quick service, and a stead stream of customers.

We’ve been visiting Kauai since the 90s from southern California where authentic Mexican food is available. I noticed that Mexican food was getting popular in Kauai and other islands. They do have great fresh fish and shrimp. However I was having a hard time finding a good tortilla here in Kauai. Finally I found this small place that the owner had been making tortillas and fresh salsa sauce from scratch!!

Ordered the shrimp quesadilla and shrimp tacos. They did not have the most flavor but it’s better than the other Mexican places around. Ordered a side of guacamole and the guy working forgot to put in my bag. Couple minutes later he came running down street with it. Pretty awesome of him and it made everything that much better. I’m from Napa, CA where Mexican food is top notch.
