Finally made it to my favorite childhood place. At least 40 years there and the same quality flavor and value. All-pork burrito, double wrapped. An irresistible spice, if you can take the heat. I love that some things never change, I’ll visit every time I’m in Cali.

If not for my friend’s suggestion to stop here to eat, I would have passed by and missed out on a authentic Mexican food stand. According to my friend, her mother worked here as a cashier over 40 years ago. It is obvious that the food is the reason El Taquito has stood the test of time and is still bringing customers back again and again. Great food reasonably priced. A solid 8 on my Best of the I.E. scale.

My fiance and I got 2 combo meals with the enchiladas, beans/rice, tacos and chili relleno, along with an extra order of chicken taquitos. The chicken was a little dry, and the way they pack their orders is very messy (your food will get mixed together). However, the beans and rice were especially delicious, alongside a wonderful horchata, we had a very nice lunch!
