First visit: Ordered the build your own combos. Chunky guacamole was pretty good, hot salsa is a must here. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back. Second visit: totally different experience. Went for lunch birra tacos. Service was pretty much non existent and food lacked all flavor. Very disappointing.

We were seated and then sat for 10min with no menus. We had to get our own. Service was terribly slow, but I understand being short staffed. (She was at least nice) I was hoping the quality of food would make up for the long wait time, but it was disappointing. The taco salad tasted like dog food & this is the 1st bad taco salad I’ve ever had. I’ve been ordering them for years at various restaurants. The rest of the food was bland. The prices are reasonable, but I would not go again.

I’ve eaten here for years and drive a long way just because I like one dish so much. But unless you’re part of the cool crew of regulars they will act like you don’t exist. I’m sitting at a table today with an empty drink, empty salsa, empty chips, and my wife’s nachos meal is so watery that the nachos are mush and there’s no cheese. Nobody ever came by, which is par for the course and I’m over it. If it was a one time thing that’s understandable, but this is a pattern. They chat it up and are literally rubbing the backs of someone at another table while we’re invisible. If my bill was invisible like me, that would be okay, but they can see us when it’s time to pay. It’s literally the only time they come back to our table, when they see we’re done and have a bill for us. I normally tip 20-25% and I have a long time affinity for this place but I’m tired of watching them sit and chat with their friends or gossip about people at other tables for 20-30 minutes while we’re hoping to get noticed. Not cool.
