Great place to find local Dominican-Style food made fresh every day. The selection is great and varies from day to day with generous portions. Fast service, served hot and ready to eat during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The favors are just like home-cooked meals and their quick bite finger-foods always hits the spot. A variety of shakes and juices from exotics fruits are also made to order and are a wonderful treat to the taste buds. Takeout or Sit-down, whichever you have time for, El Típico is the perfect place to eat Spanish dishes.

I love this restaurant. You’re gonna get delicious food at a great price and great service. I also love how clean and well tended it is. I’ve been here several times and they have so many great Hispanic Caribbean dishes I have trouble deciding what to order. Lunch time really gets busy but their staff still does a great job with service. I’m looking forward to my next meal here.

The Food was AMAZING!! BYOS (Bring Your Own Spoon). I say this because there spoons are to small for how amazing the taste is. I wanted Bigger Bites! The flavor was sooo good! Highly recommended.

I five stars because the food is great I never experienced anything over greasy and even though I always go right when closing I always get fresh food however very expensive for the portion that they give you they give you very small amount of meat but a large amount of rice and salsa my son always gets oxtails yummy can’t complain I am Jamaican I will not rate it at the equivalent but almost close to it needless to say the people are always very friendly yes there’s a language barrier but again just point out what you want they’re very accommodating I can’t say I wouldn’t recommend this to everyone this place is great

While the beef in the guisado was decent, the pastelito had less than a tablespoon of filling and the mofongo, was Horrible! It literally tasted like cardboard. No amount of hot sauce or seasoning could make it edible.

Depending upon the time of day- afternoon is best- the food is excellent here. Make sure to enjoy it all with an ice cold Presidente beer. Be prepared to brush up on your Spanish speaking skills but you should be okay just by pointing. I like this place but my doctor tells me to stay away. Regardless, I make the occasional trip. Service is almost always very slow here- they are chatty, mostly with themselves. So, if you are in a hurry, forget it.
