I’ve been going here for over 25 years. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta! They have a few locations and all locations are consistent. If you’re ever in Atlanta and want some authentic Mexican food please try them out. Even though I no longer live in Atlanta Georgia every time I go in town I make sure I go there to eat and take friends and family! This restaurant also has the best calendars each year. Please make sure to get a calendar you have to start around November because the calendars are great and the calendars go fast. My favorite dish on the menu is number 47 with two beef burritos and a chili relleno.

HUGE portion size, friendly and helpful service, feels very local. I’m not qualified to talk about authenticity but everything was bomb. Pico de gallo was on point and chicken was juicy as other reviews have said. Unlimited salsa and chips was not a lie, they just refilled it whenever they saw an empty basket/bowl at our table. My only regret in coming here is i’m only in this area for vacation, and i’ll probably never have a chance to eat here again :’)

The food is really delicious, the chicken is very juicy and has a lot of flavor, the rice was really good too, very very flavorful. The customer service has been nice too when I visited. Would highly recommend to go with family, friends and any occasions.

July 29,2023 my daughter, her friend and myself went to El Torero and was enjoying our meal. My daughter ordered a Shirley Temple. She drank less than a/3 of the drink when she saw a dead baby roach in her glass. I felt like our meal should have been taken care of by the owner / manager. When I asked him about comping our meals, his response was “why”. I said because there was a roach in her drink. He said he would take off the drink.. we didn’t know if we had coaches in our food or not so I felt our meals should been comped. I’m letting all who go there to check foo and drinks throughly. That is our last time going there.

Guacamole seemed to be from a package instead of fresh made, did not taste good. Cheese dip was good, free refills on chips. The rest of the food was alright, not bad but not awesome. Casual atmosphere, reasonable prices for the portions.

The chips and sausa were really good. I got the chimichanga and it was just crispy shell on the outside and stuffed with chicken that had a strange taste. I didn’t eat it because the flavor wasn’t fresh tasting chicken. No sause or nothing else. It came with white cheese sauce (I had it put on the side because sometimes it’s not good.) But this was good. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t have guacamole and sour cream ect on it. My grandson had a hard shell taco and it only had lettuce I think but he said it was good. If this restaurant would kick the food up just a notch it probably would be one of my favorite. It was better than several others I’ve been to. But for now, it’s mediocre. Thank God for the good chips and sausa which was so good so you don’t leave hungry.
