I would probably go four and a half if I could. Food was good, but this type of Mexican fair is now readily available. It needs something to set it apart. I have lived in Buffalo too long. Because now a jumbo burrito comes with an expectation of truly massive proportions. Which I did not get from El Toro. It was maybe two bites smaller than when you get at Lloyd’s. Food was very good, location is convenient. Service was very pleasant. They need a signature dish. And the guac does not excite.

Wanted to try a new mexican food place the reviews looked good. The place was a little slow not a big deal. The menu is a little big so lots to look over but they have the usual staples. The chips and salsa was good. We got the enchilada supreme 4 types of enchiladas which was not super hot needed a few more minutes in the oven to melt the cheese. Also got the chicken flautas which were great. The taco al a carte was ok not my favortie I prefer shredded beef to ground beef tacos. Dessert was good fried ice cream was pretty decently portioned and the flan was good just didn’t like that they poured chocolate sauce on it if you get one ask for it on the side to add if you want it took away from the flavor. Over all it wasn’t a bad place probably will come back to try new stuff

LOVE this place. First visit and got a wonderful waitress who was new. My food special was amazing and everything was crisp and flavorful. I definitely want to come back and try the drinks next time.

The food was good. The staff seemed nice. I do however think it is weird they added a fee for takeout. Also the park is tight. Probably a place I would avoid during busy times.

We were worried that service would be slow, but the food came within 15 minutes and was very good. I had the vegetarian selection #6 which consisted of a spinach chalupa, quesadilla, and burrito. All fresh and cheesy but not greasy, which I find to be typical of many Mexican restaurants. We also got the grande special, which was huge, a very good deal for 12.50, and again fresh and tasty. My pinot grigio was a reasonable 5.50 and the guacamole was good after I added some table salt, pepper, lime, and salsa. I would recommend this place and hope they keep it up. The only thing I would like to see improved is added spice or flavor, though, I understand that this type of Mexican cuisine is generally not particularly flavorful, at least in my experience.

Simply stated “you have to try this place out.” The food prices are reasonable. The menu is vast. And the service was excellent. And lastly. You’re going to like the food.

Large selection to choose from. Nice size staff. A little slow but the shrimp tacos I had were delicious, probably the best I ever had. I would definitely recommend.

Went for lunch with some friends and really enjoyed the experience and of course, the food. I ordered the Texas special which came with a chimichanga and a quesadilla with either beef or chicken. It also came with a little salad. it was a very good meal and I ordered it again.

Through August 21, 2023, this was the best Mexican in Buffalo, BAR NONE. Unreal flavor of authentic Mexican, like someone’s mom had just prepared it. Everything fresh. Well, sadly, El Ranchito has bought out El Torro and instead of learning El Torro’s delicious menu, they have simply replaced it with EL Ranchito’s bland mish-mash of psuedo-Mexican food. Frankly, horrible. It was terrific while it lasted. Don’t. If you can’t beat ’em,…buy them out and replace with your lame product. The American way as of 1999. Hard Pass.
