Finding an authentic Mexican restaurant in the Carolinas has been a years long quest of mine. Love this place. Tacos Mexicanas taste just like they came from a taco shop on the border. the tamales were fantastic. Super fresh shrimp and salsa as well. This is a must visit restaurant. It doesn’t.look like much for the street but we were pleasantly surprised.

Their customer service can use some work. I had dine in for the first time and I had a bug in my drink, they ended up taking the bug out and refilling the cup which I have no problem with because I would do the same thing if I was at home, but when they returned the drink the drink looked like a completely different drink the waitress was aggravated and I asked for a manager waited a long time and they didn’t do anything about the drink issue. It took for another waitress to notice I was frustrated to help me and rectify the entire interaction she stepped in took over the check and ensured we were treated in a respectful manner. She is the only reason why I am giving 5 stars to the review.

I’m going to say I just ordered the wrong dish here. Ordered the chicken mole… absolutely the worst I have ever had. It bore no resemblance to the real thing. Someone in our party did order the shrimp Diablo, it looked good and they said it tasted good. Cold hard chips, out of a bag with some very tomato saucy salsa. Margarita was not the worst. Service was friendly and prices were very reasonable.

We moved to Mt Holly a little less than a year ago and finally ordered take out to try this place out. It didn’t disappoint! I have been hunting for good salsa and they nailed it! Tacos, flautas and carnitas were very tasty! I will be back!

I was a repeat customer until yesterday evening. Stopped in, had 2 margaritas with patron, and 1 chimichanga…waiter asked me twice, chicken or beef, I answered beef…still came out with chicken…I don’t eat chicken. Sent the order back and received the beef but it was really watery in my plate. Then I get my bill….$75!!!! I won’t be going back, ridiculous.
