Visited 7/8/23 Julio was our server & Brianna was the hostess both were great! I choose the 3 combo meal. Two beef tacos & beef burrito. The tacos got soggy to quick. I had to request a taco shell to finish my meal. The salsa is bland. Watery w/ six veggies in a bowl. At least the salsa & chips are unlimited. All the meals were tasty. The building was too hot for me. You couldn’t feel the air conditioner.

Since my wife and I have moved to Fredericksburg Virginia, we’ve been trying to visit new restaurants and breweries in the area. Some are good, some not so much. I can honestly say that El Viejon Mexican Grill is wonderful. Inside is very fun and colorful, a restaurant you’ll like walking in to.

Ample parking with enough seating inside; average size restaurant. Arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night…was not busy. Our appetizer and food order was taken within 7 minutes of being seated. By 6:30pm, the restaurant was packed. Ordered the Nachos Mexicanos with chicken – delicious. Ordered the Burrito Mexicano with chicken. Good food, good service. Finally, Stafford has a Mexican restaurant that rivals Ray Azteca and we didn’t have to go to Fredericksburg to enjoy. With two sodas, two entries, a kid’s meal and an appetizer, our bill was $53. We’ll be back, recommend you give this place a try.

Oh MY god, FINALLY good food in Stafford!! We had sangria, carne asada, chili rellenos, and a kids quesadilla. All delicious, plates were cleared. Will be regulars. Also, such great prices!

The service was friendly and the atmosphere is casual. The food was excellent, especially for the price. We had the tacos al pastor, fajitas, the shrimp queso dip and a couple of drinks. Everything was delicious and tasted house-made. We went around noon on a weekday and the place was already picking up. We will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu.

Food is amazing and perfect and the right amount of heat added. The staff is very friendly and stays on top of everything. They don’t bother you too much and don’t leave you sitting forever waiting. The drinks are on point. We will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is awesome. Love this place!!!
