Food is REALLY good. Make sure that they completely understand your order and you ordered the proper thing that you want they don’t like to remake the food they would rather refund you your money. Other than communication being an issue food is tasty!

Consistently great food! Wife and I finally went to their restaurant that opened earlier this month. Place was full at 5pm and by 6pm standing room only. I got steak quesadilla packed with tender grilled steak and plenty of cheese while my wife got the burrito michoacano with pork cooked to perfection. Food was delivered in a timely manner and server checked with us for refills as glasses became almost empty. Prices are quite reasonable too. I’d say El Viejon is on track to becoming the best or one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area.

I was told this was the best Mexican food truck in Toledo, and I don’t have any information to contradict that. I had the shrimp and fish tacos and they were both very good. The pico de gallo is super flavorful. The shrimp was exceptionally good. My friend got a burrito and I definitely need to go back because his burrito looked amazing.

Amazing! Exactly what I have been craving! I’m not from around here and the directions took us to a dead end street so at first I was sad, but then I realized they were in a plaza so had the directions take me to the book store and I’m so happy I did! Really good food for a really good price! I ate and highly recommend the Quesadilla La Roja!

I’ve been to Mexico and the food was good. Lived in Texas and the food was good, but this place beat them both. Food was top notch for me. Wait staff was nice enough. Wished I lived in Toledo I’d be fat and broke happily. Great job.

I got a burrito Miguel last night from the firework show, only got the burrito because I was craving avocado (pregnancy craving) and it clearly stated they came with avocado in it, no avocado more rice than anything, hardly any meat, it was just a complete mess. I will not be going back there and would not recommend to anyone.

Best Mexican food in the state. I travel all over and stop at “authentic” Mexican food places in chicago..dallas..tampa..orlando..cincy..in my strong opinion…probably top 3 from the Midwest to the Atlantic.
