Great place to stock up on picnic foods. Everything we got was pretty good. Kale salad and quinoa salad were a pretty good value at 8 bucks. The fruit salad was a little light. They did have a lot of gluten free options.

The food is always excellent at Elephants. Just a little pricey ($14.50 for a sandwich with no sides or chips). Plan on about $20 for lunch here (including 15% gratuity). I was hungry again a couple hours later.

I love their food, and it’s always very good. However, I have celiacs disease and when I go there and ask that the food preparers wash their hands and change gloves before handling my food, they always become very combative and rude to me. I’ve had cashiers argue with me about my own dietary restrictions, saying things like “They’re not going to put their hand in your food, you’ll be fine” and I’ve ever had several eye rolls and audible groans of irritation. This all has been very frustrating as the company advertises gluten free food as a large feature of their menu, but I’m always very scared to go there as I’m treated very poorly when I do. I’d love to eat there more often, but I just don’t feel comfortable eating somewhere where the staff is not even willing to make simple accommodations for a severe medical condition.

I loved the Elephants when it was in Meadows. Friendly, great food, and stellar customer service. Since going to the new one these past couple of months (we only live here part time) I have noticed a huge difference. The staff does not seem to care about customer service, if they even know what it is. After the lady at the counter was not very nice to me a couple of weeks ago ( just was not helpful and kind of off putting) I decided to stay away for awhile. Today I decided to give it another try and went in to get my special drink, a chai latte. I was pleased to see a different young girl at the counter and ordered my chai. Then the other lady came out of nowhere to make it. I asked the young girl if she would please make it instead of the lady as I had had problems with her being nice to me in the past. Well, the young girl said, “are you serious? That’s rude of you!” Really??? I’m being rude?? I didn’t say that to her but I did say thank you and canceled my order. I definitely am not a rude person. I noticed above that you have stand up meetings. If she was my employee, I would have a stand up and walk her out. She should never tell a customer they are being rude. Especially when I only asked her nicely to make my drink. Then, let’s talk about my tuna melt. We were 14 of us on Mother’s Day. The service was non existent and the food was less than your normal. My tuna melt lacked cheese and very little tuna. I will say that you prepackaged food is excellent!! A bit expensive, but worth every penny. Good luck with customer service. I hope it improves and that I and my family will feel comfortable returning.

Good menu but they really need to get organized. I ordered 30 minutes ago and am still waiting for my food. The kitchen looks like they’re spending half their time talking trying to figure out who’s doing what. Really disappointing, especially for the prices they charge.
