A group of friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at Eli’s in the early spring at the tail end of off season. It’s helpful to know that the space is small but full of character! It’s busy and at least in the end of off season they don’t take reservations, so show up early or plan to hang out a bit and enjoy a walk around town! The food was delicious and the server was very kind. I highly recommend!

This place was so cute and cozy! We walked in at the end of our night for a drink and were able to have one at the bar. Pictures of dogs everywhere and bartender was very friendly. Would love to go back for food as menu looked awesome and the couple next to us had delish looking dinners. But most importantly, my husband left his wallet by accident and they mailed it back to him the next day! We were so grateful for such an honest and wonderful staff. Thank you Eli’s – we definitely shall be back!!!!

If your desire is to depart with as much of your money as possible for nothing, then step right in. Little to celebrate as the wait staff cannot wait to have you leave – it felt as if they wanted you to drop a $100 and just walk out. Then we move on to the food – over-seasoned does not do an adequate job to describe it. Inedible does a better job. Not sure who is handling the kitchen. Wine list is actually ok. So to sum up – over-spiced, over-seasoned, and I was oversold to walk in there. Avoid.

A place not to miss on Block Island. The food was fresh and made with care while the menu featured a number of different cuisine styles to choose from that still highlight some of the local ingredients. We sat at the bar after they did their best to seat us but wanted to give us the option if we did not want to wait. The service at the bar was top notch making sure we were well taken care of.

Eli’s restaurant is a gem on block island. Not a big selection but a lot of attention is paid to each appetizer, entree and each dessert. Top shelf kind of place to eat at. This place would be recommended if it was in any metropolitan area. Cramed dining area.

This place is really odd. The waitress was wonderful. The owner / host was twitchy and didn’t really want to seat us in a half full restaurant. Trying to save tables for groups of 4 I think. They keep the water full at all times! After that it was all bad. Tonic was flat in my drink. Entree was absolutely tasteless. All of it. What can I say… the food is bad and the manager makes you uncomfortable. Go literally anywhere else.
