The food was sub-par; overall it had no flavor. I ordered a rib-eye steak med rare and they burnt it was a grizzly mess and it was just rancid; it was so terrible I could not finish my meal. Salad bar food not cold it was warm or room temp Yuck!! I gave them a second chance and ordered a second meal, and it was even worse than the first. The whole experience was just disaster. The soft drink that I ordered had no fizz or carbonation in it. The spoon, knife, and fork I received were not clean. The service is terrible!! Overall the food was just a big, giant, lousy embarrassment and I do not recommend this horrid establishment. Weeds growing all over the parking lot should have been my first clue. Stay away, stay far, far away. My wife and I won’t be going back ever!!!

I really enjoyed this place! The food was delicious. My family likes to share and taste everyone’s order (or I just steal bites when my kids aren’t looking!) I have to say I loved the mac and cheese too! I had the Prime Rib, which was very tasty. This place also has the option to grill your own steak…fun!!! I will surely be back!!

I cooked my own steak and it was great quality meat and they had plenty of options for seasonings. There we not many choices of cuts left at about an hour before close so that’s understandable. Also the grill varied in heat from spot to spot and it was a little hard to tell. Sides were on point.

Felt very run down and the food was just ok. Not bad. Felt like we just walked in and caught them off guard like they were not expecting customers. Then with an overpriced menu we selected some steaks that looked good. They arrived in a timely manner and the steaks looked good but the sides were sad, and not very good. One I started the steak, it was a boring flavor that required lots of salt to even taste. Then I got tired of fighting grissel that I eventually just gave up. Not worth it.

Don’t Bother save your money!! Had a group of 12 people go here tonight. The waitress was nice but the service was AWFUL!! Partially not the waitress fault do to the fact that they had no bartender there, and she was the only one that could make bar drinks. No one with are group ordered bar drinks. so she had to waitress and run back and forth to the bar, so there for she could not be very attentive to or table / group. We could not get them to bring drink refills so we got up and got the drink refills our self’s twice. Would not recommend Elk Rock for group’s. I ordered a NY strip stake medium rare and it was well don’e burnt in-fact . Sent it back and the next steak I got was RAW and cool to the touch. I gave up and went to it to the grill and cooked it my self. I’m told the boasted chicken was OK by some one in our group. Another person ordered a Rib-eye and it was so tough they could not chew it!! and the other 2 people in our group waited for over a hour and still did not have there food or drinks and they gave up and went home. Not a good experience at all. very disorganized and no staff team work at all. Air Conditioning not working to good. Every one in our group was sweating it was so hot in there. So long story short I can’t recommend Elk Rock to any one. Our group of people won’t go back!!

First time there. Sad to say my steak was over cooked, dry and not hot. My wife steak was ordered the same as mine, medium well and had some pink to it as it should. Staff was friendly. We might give it another try to see if was a fluke or not, but really wasn’t impressed with the steak.

Went out to eat tonight craving steak. I ordered the 34.99 ribeye and I ordered it med rare. I got it it was still raw in the middle and just cooked on the out side. They went and put it back on the grill in the pit. When it came back it was burned on the outside but just right on the inside still pretty much inedible. The potato fries that I got was dry and way to much ranch seasoning. Glad I ordered the shrimp cocktail and the salad bar that came with the meal or I’d of left hungry and the thing is still paid almost 100.00. The onion rings are very bland and tasteless. My GF sirloin was cooked just right. Not sure if I’d go back as I’ve had better steak at a truck stop.

Great steak, drinks and sides. Service was excellent. Our group did grill your own steak option. Ended with a delicious pecan bread pudding. Will be back!
