Me and my wife stoped here while in town for the tattoo convention. We where unintentionally taken aback at the atmosphere, was like we stopped in to New Orleans! Dj spinning R&B portions are HUGE! our hostess and server were both delightful and knowledgeable. When we are in town again we will be stopping by again.

Stopped in before attending a concert and the food was delicious. My server, Yasmine, was very friendly and did a great job. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was very friendly as well. Nice spot with cool vibes. Can’t wait to go back when they have live music!

I think some people who try it come with the wrong expectations. I really loved the food here. The chef is absolutely amazing and everything including my cocktail tasted great. I believe this is a place for people who are familiar with and used to this type of food and with that comes a certain ambiance and liveliness that I think might be off putting to some who don’t understand the culture behind the food. With that being said, I think if this place did diversify the atmosphere or at least decide whether they want to be upscale or more relaxed It would be an added bonus to someone’s experience here. Thus far I have tried the honey fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, mashed potatoes,cornbread fried shrimp, a honey smash cocktail and a lemon drop martini (not on the same day). The food was not too salty and I thought it was seasoned perfectly (given that I grew up with this type of food). I would say it’s better than a lot of people’s cooking at home and it’s very difficult to get that quality from a restaurant so if you know you can “throw down” but you don’t feel like cooking, I feel like this is a great alternative. The staff were all very polite and helpful and we spoke to the manager/owner who was extremely friendly. If you come on a busy night, when there is a live band, they can be slow to take your order and even if you have reservations they may not ensure you have a table waiting for you. If you don’t want to potentially have someone dancing right next to your table or if you are looking to go on a date where you expect to “hear” what your date is saying, then this probably isn’t the place for you.

We went on a Friday and had a great time. It’s such a chill vibe, from the saxophonist to our waitress. Key, she was awesome. I had the crawfish and shrimp etouffee with catfish. We got to sample the other dishes from our group, and everything was tasty. We’ll be going back to listen to the live band that comes on Saturdays.

Food was very very good! Atmosphere was great, we had to seat ourselves because there was no hostess present but that was fine we just dine at the bar! Bartender was great..they ran out of 3 items I wanted but it was cool what I got was still great! We’re very satisfied
