I cannot say enough good words about Ellen’s on Front. I had my bridal shower here with a Valentines Day cocktail hour theme and it was absolutely perfect. The owners, Andrew and Jennie, are the most accommodating, hard working and attentive people. From the very start they took the vision of what I wanted and ran with it. The food and cocktails were delicious and the ambiance is so well thought out and beautiful. Each staff member did not stop for a minute the entire night, all while having a smile on their face. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more to family and friends for not only special events in your life but for a delicious meal on any night of the week. Andrew, Jennie, and their gorgeous mother Ellen, truly embrace the culture and family values of the North Fork.

This place is so good! Very nice ambience and service, but the real star is the incredible food. Unique, delicious interpretations of food you already love. If you’re visiting from another place, this is also located in Greenport which is a beautiful waterfront town with lots of fun shops to visit. Try it!

My family and I went to Ellen’s on Front in Greenport this weekend. Everything we ordered was amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fried chicken with the hot honey sauce was amazing. The Cacio E Pepe Pastina was light and fluffy. We also loved that the restaurant featured wines from local North Fork vineyards. The inside is decorated beautifully with high ceilings an abstract painting on one wall and an elegant painting of Ellen above the bar. Our waitress was attentive and had a smile on her face and the owner greeted us when we came in and even chatted with us at the table. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this restaurant.

Delightful understated place – feels under the radar a bit. But the team was lovely and the food was terrific. Very gracious with kids – great kids menu ($9!) and star pasta – a total hit. Will be our go to. Low-key and gracious.

Pretty place but no real private tables for two. Food might have been good if it came out like we ordered it. Mine too well, her’s too rare. But the service? Arrogant doesn’t begin to describe it. I wanted to ask if I had done something to piss them off because they ignored us from the moment we got there. But I had just walked in!! The only reason we went is because everything else in Greenport is closed on Wednesday. Next time I’ll plan on cooking.

We came to Ellen’s on the first night of our honeymoon (same day we got married). I mentioned as much in my reservation and they pulled out ALL of the stops. Combining such a special level of service with truly phenomenal food… I cannot recommend the place enough. You shouldn’t leave Greenport without eating here, every aspect of the meal was phenomenal.

My sister in law had the rehearsal dinner for her wedding here. We were met with excellent service, delicious food and drink, and a welcoming environment. Towards the end of the evening Andrew came around and greeted us and even offered suggestions of things to do in the area with children as he noticed we were traveling with 2 young boys. We appreciated that so much.
