It’s a quaint diner. Decor is fun. Service is good enough. Food is as expected for a diner. Prices aren’t high. Nothing makes this place stand out necessarily, it’s a good diner. Worth the visit.

Along time ago, in a far away land, some guy named Al had this diner. This morning, my son and I stopped in, while doing some running around. Fantastic !! Kielbasa, cheddar cheese, onions omelet…… two pancakes – didn’t know they were that huge !! My son had the French toast which he wouldn’t let me steal…. coffee, oj, milk…… stuffed !!! In the Village of East Syracuse, just a jump of the highway !! Very very nice !!! I’ll be back 🙂

Ordered full frittata and pancakes. Frittata was not scrambled but more like mush/mashed with the exception of a few sliced round potatoes that were mostly entact. Seriously could not tell what was eggs and could not taste them at all. Pancakes were odd tasting and not fluffy but more flat and definitely over cooked. We figured the taste was probably transferred from the griddle. The syrup resembled water in consistency but it didn’t really matter because we didn’t really eat much of them or the frittata. We picked at what was edible leaving most behind. Waitress asked if we wanted box to take it home. I said no thank you – I was not a fan of any of it. She was not concerned at all that we weren’t happy with food. Took the plates and gave us the bill. I wish I took photos. 28 and change with tip. Very disappointed.

Excellent food and friendly excellent staff also. They treat you like family there. Also I did dishes at that exact Diner when I was a teenager but back then it was known as The Corner Diner. It always has and always will be my Hometown Diner no matter what.

I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner at various times the food and service always excellent. Good quality food at reasonable prices — Good portions and love the coffee. And the restaurant was remodeled new restrooms , higher ceiling, wall treatments, some new windows and decorative wall accessories and plants. I strongly recommend this restaurant, give it a try and you’ll be a regular customer !!!!
