Eating here has changed my life. They have one of the best burgers I have ever had. The bathroom was nice and clean as well. My server was very attentive and kept my Diet Coke full. If you ever visit Winchester this gem of a restaurant is worth visiting! Diana is an amazing server. Very friendly. She kept my drink cup full.

We came in late on our travels and got our order in right before last call. Not only was everything delicious, but they were extremely accommodating for my brother with severe food allergies. The chopped salad I got was enormous (enough for two) and the rest of my family loved their salads & fish & chips. Really wonderful gem of a place.

The below post was done in May, we went back in July and it went from Ellie’s Irish Pub to Ellie’s Pub. Menu changed as well. I got the Robert Cobb salad, it was very good. My husband got the fish and chips and said that the batter was the best he has ever had.

Went downtown for some cuisine, and stopped here. The food was AMAZING, and the service was even better. He was funny and on point with the service and never having our water glasses empty. Definitely coming back!

My husband and I went to Ellie’s today for the first time. We were participating in the Celtic Fest and decided to stop in to share a dish. We liked both the atmosphere and aesthetic of the pub. We were a bit disappointed at the menu, we expected it to have more traditionally Irish or heavily Irish influenced meals. My husband got the Irish Red Ale which he really enjoyed. We shared the Guinness Pot Pie. We really liked the flavor of the dish but the pastry/crust was very tough and hard to cut through. I would be interested in trying Ellie’s again.

Cozy Irish pub with a nice big outdoor patio, pleasant staff and cute atmosphere right on the Old Town mall. Food was good but left something to be desired. My husband got the fish and chips. The chips were the best part. The haddock had an excess of batter which got very soggy with vinegar. He ended up just scraping it off. I got the Guinness Pot Pie which was very tasty but was mostly veggies and very little beef. It was obvious the veggies used in it were from a bag of frozen mixed vegetables, which honestly isn’t a huge deal, but just wasn’t worth the cost in my opinion. There were other things on the menu that seemed interesting (however a bit out of place for an Irish pub), but I’m not sure I’d come back. Maybe for a pint of Guinness.

Always a great experience. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Great selection of traditional Irish dishes and beverages. Reuben and Irish onion soup are a must try! Loved the rustic decor, and half of the building includes a lounge area that typically offers live music some evenings. Outdoor space is amazing on a nice day out. Staff is always very friendly. Highly recommend to try it out next time you’re in old town Winchester!

Went out to dinner on a Sunday night and it was not at all busy. We got to choose our own table.

The food, drinks, coffee, dessert & service were excellent. The double patty burgers were huge and flavorful. My husband loved his but I thought mine was a little too rich for my taste, but it wasn’t regrettable! The Cuban sandwich & beef pot pie were excellent as well. The pot pie was a huge bowl of the filling tipped with a flaky pastry puff shell in the center… a LOT of food. Their hazelnut custard was rich and decadent. They didn’t carry Honey Jack, but the bartender created a version that my husband truly enjoyed.
