Came here after seeing many videos saying this place is a must. Everyone was right. The food was great. Service was outstanding. We came on a Monday morning the day after hurricane Hilary hit Palm Springs. I got one of their omelets and pancakes and both were very fresh and tasty.

We love this place! Even with a 45 minute wait, it was worth it! The food is amazing! Born and raised in Portland, I love this Portland based company. We had the German pancake, the crapes, and the eggs with ham. The service is fast and attentive even when every table is filled. It’s amazing how fast they make the food. It’s the #1 rated breakfast place in Palm Springs and for good reason. Go here!

I stopped here for lunch on my return trip; with a friend’s recommendation for their Reuben sandwich. It wasn’t the best 1st impression as I excused myself to use the restroom. Upon my return the setting – menu, and silverware – were gone. They thought I left. I wouldn’t have taken so long had they had a bigger restroom with more than one stall… waiting isn’t fun. Anyway, I gave my drink order; and then my lunch order of the Reuben sandwich with fries, and a side of coleslaw. The sandwich appeared small, yet was deceptively piled high with beef that was tender and flavorful. A nice amount of sauerkraut with cheese, and the right amount of dressing. I liked the fries that had some of the skin on the potatoes. The server mentioned later that if I wanted more, they were “endless.” I had plenty. The coleslaw was awesome. Loved the portion, and creamy dressing. After my meal I had the apple pie a la mode. Elmer’s is a very nice restaurant. Clean, spacious, and fascinating decor as I looked over the old photographs of Shirley Temple, JFK, LBJ, and others. If they had it open (closed for the time), I would have sat outside on their patio. I’ll keep this restaurant in mind for future stops while driving through on the I-10. And recommend it for others looking for a meal, and break from long drives. Well worth the short detour.

Great place. Extremely popular, we’ve seen long lines as we drove down the street. I had the stuffed hash browns. The hash browns were perfectly done, very crispy. Inside was bacon, link sausage, eggs, cheese, and probably something else. My wife had a Keto breakfast of sausage, bacon, and avocado which she liked. On a previous visit I had the chorizo bowl special which was also delicious.
