Not a bad place for a bite. Breakfast stuff is really good. Don’t get the torta milanesa, the meat is much too small for the bun. Other than that, everything we’ve tried, we like. Seems like a local cop/firefighter lunchtime hangout. Nice place

I had such a wonderful experience at this diner/restaurant! The food was amazing and that is always my number one concern. From presentation to the taste I was impressed. The service was also excellent. It was such a great vibe that other customers in the restaurant were just as happy to speak to me as the waitress was. Very clean environment and plenty of space. I was eager to try other diners in the area but after this experience I am sure I have found my favorite. Also I recommend the hamburger steak. You can thank me later.

The food can be hit or miss. My first visit my son received burnt pancakes buy it has been well prepared on my other visits. They are short staffed but your waitress is guaranteed to be friendly and helpful. Can’t beat the price around town.

I was excited to finally try Elvira’s Cafe. It was a massive disappointment. There was one lady in the front of the house, and she was doing her best, but we had to sit at a dirty table. Still, I had hope. Expecting diner food not haute cuisine.

I try to go here (Elvira’s Cafe) every time I’m in Giddings. They have great migas and I love their pancakes. The coffee is always spot on. The staff is very kind and friendly. I always enjoy my visits here and look forward to them. If you haven’t tried eating here before, I highly recommend it. Just know though, they are only open from 6-2.

Best breakfast in town. You can get a taco or a full traditional breakfast. eggs and many as you want, the way you want them. sausage or bacon, hash browns are the shoestring style, very good. Friendly folks .
