We had to be in Lake Dallas and decided to try Ely’s for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised! First, I love that it’s family run. The service was excellent, the margaritas were tasty and the food was fresh. We had a beef tostada, vegetarian tostadas and a chicken burrito. The The desserts were legit too. Worth a try!

Eat here!! I could not possibly recommend this more. Family owned and operated and possibly the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The location can easily be missed right off the freeway but it is worth the search. We have eaten many things there and each dish was great… even the chips and salsa is the best. Plus the owner makes the GORGEOUS tables and chairs in the restaurant as well.

Checked the reviews before we went. Was very excited to try. The queso was great, guacamole was very good but paid for a large bowl that was filled with lettuce. Flautas were dry. The rice and beans were good. We tried to five them feedback just to assist with quality. Customer service was mediocre. Need to training on how to be more lively and excited about their restaurant. They forgot to charge us for the ice tea so once we were ready to pay they added it on. Thought it was a bit ridiculous when they charged us for their Spicer hot sauce as well. Burrito was pretty good. Overall it was okay but for the price I have had better.

Still can’t understand why this place is usually empty. The servers at times can be a bit awkward (assume it’s family and not a trained staff), but the place is always clean, the food is better than our other local Mexican restaurants, and prices are in line with what you expect these days. The house margaritas are a bit steep at 9$, but as I could actually taste the tequila in them I didn’t complain. In the end, I go to a restaurant for the food, and the food is always a good value here.

Man oh man. This place is amazing. Very nice and clean and food is awesome. I have had it several times now as I work next door. The salsa is served warm and anyone can enjoy it. The bottles of sauce are spicy and I could put it on everything. The staff is wonderful, service is fast, and i have personally never seen them to busy which is unfortunate because they deserve more business for the food they are putting out. I will continue to eat here once or twice a week.
