We had a couple of hours until our flight leaving from Florida and decided to grab a bite from the Emerald Coast Bar & Grill. Located in the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), FL, the restaurant is located after the security checkpoint (located to the side but within the gate area). It is situated in a highly-trafficked area for arriving travelers.

Pretty good food and the prices were okay too. Service was quick and friendly. Once you go through TSA you just stay on that floor and the entrance is there. I went upstairs and couldn’t find it. Thought it was only available before entering TSA. Had enough time to figure that part after I went somewhere else. Didn’t like it so went back downstairs to find out it was accessible. Google has pretty good reviews so I wanted to give it a try. Didn’t disappoint.

This is a very decent place to kill some time and have a meal on par with the type of food you can get at a beach restaurant. We didn’t have enough time after checking out of our lodging to do anything fun, so we decided to get to the airport early. It was a nice place to sit and chat and have meal. Finding the restaurant was a little challenging– it’s next to security downstairs, right before the doors to baggage claim. You might be worried you are exiting the secure area, but it is still post TSA.

For a hotel bar and dining area, it was okay. The food wasn’t bad. Most of it is definitely made from prepackaged frozen food product, though.

Had lunch and a couple drinks with friends while we were waiting for our flight. Food and drinks were both great. Crystal was friendly and efficient when I asked for help with a charge I didn’t recognize. She was able to quickly resolve the issue.

Fries were barely warm, grouper was the fish of the day for the sandwich it wasn’t like any grouper that I’ve had before. The coleslaw was not very tasty either. So it said it was $18 it was 21 . Not worth it.

Pretty good food for an airport! Been here multiple times and never been disappointed. You can eat on either side of TSA security which is nice, too.

Service was ok. At an airport that isn’t the higher priority. Bar lady was on at talking table orders. Just got. Breakfast burritos pretty good. Salsa was like paste picante sausage, not made fresh. That would have been better. The prices were reasonable even for a small airport.
