A group of friends and I just happened to come in late one Friday evening and we were so pleased with our experience! The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed and intimate evening with the exposed brick walls and dim lights. We all ordered house wine, and were quite please with it, and a large plate of mussels to start! My partner and I shared the gnocchi, mushroom pasta, and eggplant. It was filling but was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. The desserts looked great but we decided to skip them. We had a great time as a group, but this would be a fantastic place for a fancier date night!

First time here. Hubby and I had a date weekend and picked a couple restaurants to eat. This place had amazing service, very attentive waitress and other various staff who took care of us. The food was absolutely delicious was very authentic Italian. I had the scallops and risotto and it was to die. My husband had the orecchiette which was amazing as well! The baked focaccia bread with the oil and butter was so good! The drinks were delicious as well.

Solid spot for an nice, interesting Italian meal. No, this won’t be the spot you get a tower of lasagna, but you might leave with a new favorite dish. Had a great server who recommended a great wine. Shared some appetizers and had lovely pasta dishes. Definitely will be back!

Ambience and staff were quite nice. The walk in was because Oliver Royale was on a wait and I hadn’t had Emelia but once and we were seated immediately. The appetizer of mozzarella balls was scant, and sweet. It was, in my opinion, overpriced. My date had the gnocchi, which wasn’t the best. I had polenta and meatballs, which was the only thing that we agreed was pretty good. I’ll try it one more time. And if I change my opinion I’ll do another review. But being Sicilian and raised in Philly and Jersey, this isn’t Italian. It’s an atmosphere with overpriced food because they have to charge that much because they’re paying that much to be on the Square. A different location might make the food cost equal out what came from the kitchen. I do wish them good luck.

I went in to speak with somebody I know that works here and the manager was a complete jerk, yelling at me to leave after a server stopped me and was talking to me. I felt bad for the server because she was just doing her job but the manager had a really trash attitude and was very ugly to her. I said that I would leave but did t realize they were closedand maybe if the manager was actually doing his job, he should lock the door behind me so people don’t keep coming if they are closed. He just yelled some more and threatened me. Probably just go to a fast food restaurant as the service here is atrocious. The servers I talked to were very nice though

Walked in without a reservation and was accompanied within a reasonable 20-30 minutes on a Saturday night (in fairness, there was a home game which probably opened up some tables).

Don’t get the Sazerac! It was the worst cocktail I’ve had this year (took the pic took a sip_thats it)! Then a pasta dish that didn’t have any pasta in it (someone forgot)- everything else was cooked properly but without the pasta. The carbonara that wasn’t! Really disappointing. The pork was good…thin, light crispy just right.

Upon walking in clearly something had gone wrong in the kitchen. The restaurant was filled with smoke. The smoke cleared after about 10 minutes. We ordered Steamed Mussels to start and they were very good. We ordered our entrees the Bolognese and Fisherman’s Stew. Our entrees came out together. My Bolognese was very good and the side dish of Roasted Beets we ordered were very good. But my wife’s dish the Cavatelli pasta were completely undercooked. When my wife explained this to our server she said she would take care of it. She came out in about 10 minutes with a bowl of properly cooked pasta, not a completely new dish. My wife added it to her meal but at this point her food was cold. She ate maybe two bites. There was never an apology. The manager never came to our table. And they did not offer to comp her meal. These are all things we should not have had to ask for. I do not believe we will ever return to Emilia for a second chance.
