Exquisite flavors. The best Italian pasta i had. We tried the baked clams and i will say that it was delicious. I hate clams and i can never swallow them, but this changed my perception. The fried calamari was good but not the best. The portion size was perfect, the pasta had just the right amount of sauce, and cooked to perfection.

Updated review: we had a fantastic experience this time around. Food was all delicious and service was great all around. Mushrooms are the best in town and pasta is always great here.

Very good veal parmigiana. Service was good. Bread was average. Overall was very good but would not return given 30 min wait on a Tuesday night at 9pm. You can find similar food without the fuss in Manhattan.

This place was hyped up and it was good but not $20 martini, $40 Sunday sauce meal, $40 chicken parm. A little overpriced and bland for my liking. The bread, the Caesar salad and clams were great. I can see if people don’t have great homeade Italian food regularly made by a family member why this would be a great, but not anything better than what I can get from Sunday dinner.

I have tried probably 20+ different chicken parms in my short 27 years on this beautiful rock that is floating in an ever expanding universe, but this one really changed my life.

Never been here. My daughter peeked in. My question to a nice man sitted at the table was: “is the food good here?” …. and Emilio answer to us: “Could be. Try it!” Today we spent a very good time in this

First of all, if you want to go, you should only go to knock it out of your list and say “I’ve tried it”, as the place was very cold, food was overpriced and the service is dreadful.

I walked in at 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get a table. The atmosphere was exquisit, interesting photographs, signed magazine covers of past regulars like Bowie and Iman. Come here for the ambiance, not the food. The staff asked me where I got my hat, a genuine aggression of interest. I bought it next door, last week.

An institution and one of the best and most authentic NYC red sauce Italian restaurants. Lives up to the hype. Family owned and operated. Go for the vibes and amazing fresh pastas. Don’t miss the bolognese and definitely take any recommendations on the specials. The walls are lined with autographed photos from the likes of David Bowie and Mariah Carey. Lourdes, the proprietress, was our server and made us feel like family. She ensured we ordered perfectly. No reservations. Go as soon as they open at 5pm, or after 9pm when the line begins to abate. The front door remains locked until it’s the next party’s turn, which keeps the vibe here intimate and lovely.

If you enjoy mom and pop restaurants, then you will enjoy this place. Very easy find and tasty food. The service was wonderful as well. Our server as well as I believe the manager Danny was very helpful, happy and sweet to us.
