Emma’s has been on our list of restaurants to eat at for a long time now! The ambience was good for a romantic dinner, we sat inside since it was quite windy and there were some candles on the table. The waitresses were super sweet and kept checking on us. Coming to the food, we loved the cast iron Mac and cheese and the side of cornbread, but the veggie burger was disappointing, it tasted sour, the truffle fries were great though. We tried a couple of cocktails and they were good but nothing special! Overall, we enjoyed our dinner but not sure if we will come back.

Our waitress Michelle is super sweet and helpful. She made the Emma burger exactly as requested, medium rare and no buns and it was delicious! The JSQ burger was cooked to perfection as well. The flourless chocolate cake was very good. We would love to return again.

Everything was pretty good! We got the Cobb salad and the western omelette. The food was good. We also got the canned mimosas that kinda tasted like orange Lysol. But our waitress was nice!

The food was incredible! You have to try the honey hot sauce wings! My hubby got the fried chicken meal while I got the catfish meal. The drinks were also good, not sweet enough but it rarely is for me. I would absolutely eat here again! Finding parking is a mess but I would still revisit this restaurant.

We are from out of town and came up to Journal Square to help our daughter move from Jersey City to Journal Square. After a long day of moving we all began to get very hungry so started looking for a place to eat so we chose Emma’s. Our overall impression of Emma’s after dining in, is that yes, it is a place that we would very much consider again. Portions were huge so don’t go unless you truly are hungry! The food was hit or miss though none of it was terrible. My wife had the Emma’s Burger and I had the Fried Chicken dinner. While my wife loved the burger, I found the fried chicken to rather bland. Great texture, juicy chicken but the coating was missing something for sure. We certainly would go back and likely will when we visit our daughter again soon. I’ll simply know not to choose the Fried Chicken dinner. The service was really good. I think the only complaint was that we had to wait too long for mixed drinks but that is an easy one to let slide since our waitress was wonderfully pleasant and attentive.

An exceptional and memorable dining and culinary experience. We highly recommend this place. There are plenty of veg and non veg options. The quality, taste, and temperature of the food were top notch, as was the service and the server that we had. Extremely polite. We even found free parking about a few blocks away! We truly look forward to returning here in it future! It’s nicely located near the recently constructed Journal Squared towers, quite the sight to see. The urinals even conveniently tell you where to pee! In all seriousness this place had great indoor and outdoor ambiance. Perfect atmosphere!

This place is great! There aren’t any other bars in JSQ, so it’s your only option when you get off the PATH. That being said, it’s a great option! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of the area, super nice, and just super duper in general! I haven’t had the food yet, but hear nothing but good things, so I’m excited to check it out.

My whole mission that evening was to have a few pints of Guinness. It was wonderful and came with exceptional service by a young lady named Joslyn. Great experience and a cozy environment also my better half said the Mac and cheese hit the spot with flavour. Definitely recommend this place for an evening outing.

I had an amazing server with a smile to match! Emma’s has a live DJ that definitely knows how to pump up an atmosphere! The food is pretty good. I wasn’t impressed by the stiff and dry cornbread, however.
