Empanada Gourmet offers a wide variety of Uruguayan baked goods: empanadas (beef, chicken, rice and beans, breakfast etc.), masitas (petit fours), alfajores (cookies sandwiched with dulce de leche, chocolate, or fruit paste), bizcochos (flaky pastries), pasta frolla, fruit tarts, vegetable pies, and much more. Uruguayan cuisine is a combination of cuisines from several countries including France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Portugal. Our family descended from immigrants from these countries who colonized Uruguay and brought their own recipes. We recreate these treasured recipes so our customers can experience a part of Uruguayan culture.

I highly recommend Empanada Gourmet! We visited the Prince St. Location- the girl behind the counter was so friendly, excellent customer service. We picked four empanadas to share- the beef and cheese was our favorite. The sauces on the side are so good too!! Not a bad thing to say here. Thank you!!

The empanadas were absolutely incredible, but the best part of the experience was the people! We had such a lovely time eating outside in the beautiful back patio. We tried the chicken, ham & cheese, beef, and beef & cheese and every single one was delicious. The chimichurri sauce was also exceptionally delicious!! We will definitely be back!!

Love these empanadas more than my Puerto Rican grandmother’s! Sorry, abuela! Nice flaky crust with yummy fillings. And you don’t want to pass up mild sauce- like a chimmichuri. Even my picky kid loved the sauce. Lady at register was super nice and brought my kids extra napkins! Much needed. If weather permits I suggest dining alfresco on their peaceful deck.

Just ate 4 empanadas and I feel like I should eat a whole lot more definitely coming back to try the other ones, I had beef and cheese/ argentina steak, totally recommend those to the beer drinkers . Met the owner, she was really nice and friendly, and she cooks all of that herself
