Located in a shopping plaza on The Plaza in Charlotte’s East side, The Enat Ethiopian restaurant is cozy, and the service was great. I love Habesh art, and Enat’s walls displayed some impressive pieces.

I’ve had Ethiopian and Eritrean a number of times in different parts of the US and abroad. This ranks up there with some of my favorites.

Today 8/25/2023, went to go get my favorite food, Beef Keyi, it’s has always been so great for me each time I come to Enats, but today the food was so salty I couldn’t even eat it. I was so disappointed. I love you guys, but I think your new cook has lost her taste buds. Please check her work. Thank you and I’ll be back to got more ♥️

OMGGGGGGGG IF THIS ISN’T GOOD, THEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS The best Ethiopian food I’ve had in yeeeaaarrss!!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend enjoyed it so much too he got full before I did and I’m the pregnant one I have photos for you all as well….lol.. Oh and need I add that I personally didn’t see wheelchair accessible ramp, but it may have it on just not 100%sure, but their is handicap parking and plenty of parking as well. This restaurant feels clean and well as they keep it nice and clean. You definitely have to try it it’s worth coming to believe that.

Nice to have Ethiopian food in the area. We ordered the Meat platter with chicken, lamb and beef tibs. The lamb was a clear winner but enjoyed all the meats. We also ordered a chicken doro wat entree because that’s historically been our favorite entree at Ethiopian restaurants. Unfortunately, for the price of $15, what felt like a single drum stick and 1 egg in the gravy seemed a bit over priced. Also, the dish overall was way too salty for us. Will likely go back because we enjoyed the other food and staff was super helpful.

If you are in the mood for excellent food at a reasonable price with great service and a wonderful atmosphere, go to Enat. I will give you a heads up that you will wait a little due to the dishes are cooked per order but I will say it is very much worth the wait. Me and my nephew decided to try the restaurant and with the help of the staff ordered two dishes and to put it mildly was a party in my mouth. Each mouthful was a symphony of flavors. My nephew (who can be a picky eater) enjoyed his dish. Please keep in mind the dishes we ate had some spices and some heat but nothing that detracted from the flavor.

I really wish I had stopped by sooner. What an amazing surprise. Yes, this restaurant has solid reviews (and they deserve them,) but the taste, the quality and the service exceeded expectations. We shared a few vegan options (Miser & Gomen) and the Doro Wot. All flavourful and elegantly complex. Will be going back

I had to rewrite my review from 5 years ago because of how the food tasted tonight. This place is truly special and the food is as tasty as it was day one. The best Ethiopian/ East Afrian restaurant in Charlotte by farrrrr. If you are a vegetarian, where else can you go and get 5-6 different vegan options in one plate. I love the way this place smells.
