My mom and I stopped by for some lunch. The owners and staff are real welcoming and friendly and we got to talking to them. Delicious food and drinks. This is deeply flavourful and authentic Mexican cuisine cooked by those with the knowledge and heart to make it. Don’t disrespect yourself going to Tacobell.

We just had lunch there. Guacamole portions were amazing, the tacos were fully loaded, and the empanadas on special were fantastic. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, and I love the authenticity of the restaurant. I also love when the empanadas have more than just meat in them and each empanada was filled with different seasonings and veggies. The people working were so so sweet as well, making sure to tell us all the options and checking to make sure things were good. Agua frescas were large and refreshing on a warm day as well. We heard their breakfast is fire, so we’ll have to be back to try it out.

Why haven’t I been eating here everyday? Enrique himself is so kind and generous, and our meals were amazing. I’ve been fortunate to travel and live in Mexico for several years, and this place would have lines down the block anywhere there. If you’re looking for mood lighting and upscale decor, this isn’t it…because they’re too busy making homemade tortillas (which you can watch being made!). If you haven’t tried one or have only had store-bought, think of it this way: it’s as if you’ve only had week old wonderbread and suddenly someone gives you a baguette from Paris. These are the small things that make life magical!

What a great neighborhood Mexican eatery! The owner, Enrique, could not have been friendlier and so excited and passionate about his food. The steak quesadilla was one of the Stars here and well flavored… the Watermelon Fresca was so frickin fresh that every sip felt like a trip to the beach… the barbacoa burrito was huge but slightly disappointing (all rice and beans mostly, little meat, no sour cream or cheese or guac)… and while the fresh guacamole side was good, it was tiny and had very little avocado in it… and lastly, we tried a chicken soft taco and that was very tasty. There’s limited parking but I believe that, overall, Enriques is worth a trip, I know I’ll give it another try!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Enrique’s. I’ve never been to Mexico, but it certainly seemed authentic and true to the Southeast Mexican cuisine as I’ve since read about it. I had a few tacos – carne, pastor, and carnitas, and each easy very good with a distinct flavor profile. My wife had a quesadilla and it was very good and filling – she could not finish it. The homemade chips and salsa sampler was very good as well – certainly different than a chain Mexican restaurant. I’d highly recommend!

This place is a gem!!! Tacos (barbacoa and al pastor) were delicious. Sandía agua fresca was superbly fresh. Menudo was the highlight of the meal for me. Tripe was perfectly done, fresh onion, cilantro, radish, and cabbage to put in the menudo was amazing. Happy to see this food done so well in Erie. Enrique is so friendly and welcoming!!! Will definitely be back!!!

I’ve been to Enrique’s a couple times now and I continue to be blown away. Incredible, freshly made Mexican food that is nothing like any other Mexican restaurant in the area. Completely authentic, not tex-mex, and absolutely outstanding.

We came before for breakfast and were absolutely blown away! We dined this evening for My grandmas birthday and again, we were not disappointed!! The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Its that flavorful authentic Mexican food that is not greasy! We are so excited to have this restaurant in Erie. And It’s BYOB! The owner is an absolute sweetheart, he sang to my grandma on her birthday and that, along with the amazing customer service we could not have asked for a better dinner tonight. If you’re looking for the real deal Mexican food with the homemade corn tortillas THIS is your place! Gracias Enrique!
