Epazote Mexican Restaurant is now my new favorite in the area! I have been here twice now and can’t find anything negative to say about this restaurant! The food is authentic and made from scratch, you will know the moment you try it. The chicken enchiladas and homemade salsas are unbeatable. Also be sure to try their homemade hot sauces, especially the “fake guacamole”.

Family run business with amazing authentic food! I had the quesabirrias. This was suggested by our server Simone and they were absolutely delicious. It is basically a very tender shredded beef taco (3) that comes with a broth that you can dip in to. I would definitely order it again. Also had the chips and salsa. The chef was kind enough to send out a taste of the guacamole, and the ceviche along with the salsa so we could try it All really good! Of course, I had to have a margarita. I got the spicy margarita and really enjoyed it. My boyfriend got chicken tacos and kept adding more. Then we tried the churros that were served hot. Delicious! We will definitely be a regular here! Check it out! It’s in the plaza near Black Rock. A hidden gem!

My friend and I stumbled across this place and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did. The service was 10/10! Everyone was so nice and very attentive. I haven’t had service like that in a long time. The food was also amazing and the staff educated us on what was in the sauce. I had great food and learned something new. Food wasn’t very good. Salsa was bland. Pico was fresh and good. I had the tacos steak and mushroom- mushroom was flavor filled but the steak was over done. Kinda hard to mess up queso fundido but it was thick consistency – warm but not hot and melted. My friend had the Birria soup and loved it. Tacos not made from scratch as a previous review indicated.

We finally had the opportunity to try this family owned restaurant and were pleased with our experience. The place is cozy and welcoming. Best of all, the food was excellent. Both dishes were tasty and well prepared. Everything had a homemade taste and it’s obvious nothing was processed in a factory.
