GREAT food! Appetizers were so flavorfull. The cheese bread was amazing. Then the flaming gumbo…wow. I had the filet, and it was tender with onion rings and a baked potato, after the salad. The courses were like Europe and they just kept coming.

Very disappointed. Always have loved this place. My husband had fried oysters that he requested be cooked very very lightly, of course they were not, we ordered crab claws as our appetizer and our food came out before the crab claws, only because we asked why we did not get them. My shrimp plate was really tasty, we ordered gumbo to go, they put a drink cup lid on it, the container fell over causing it to loose all of its liquid making a big mess in my refrigerator not only that, there was barely any seafood in it. They have always had the best seafood gumbo. My husband said it tasted like it way way over cooked or been sitting on and off the burner for a few days. Our waiter was awesome, nothing that happened was his fault. It can be a romantic atmosphere, but the lighting in there makes it hard for you to read the menu. Needless to say that the restaurant has probably reached its prime and is now on a downhill decline. Nevertheless, for what we paid, we will not go back.

I really had high hopes for this place. My husband and I went here for a date night. We sampled enough of the menu to know we won’t be back. The dining room is annoyingly dark. Our waiter was kind and patient; no complaint about the service at all.

The atmosphere was elegant dining and the waitress was beyond wonderful! So much to say about the food, but the bottom line is that is was large portions and soooo good. This is a moderately expensive restaurant, but worth it. Mr. Ernest, Jr. always tries to say a word or shake a hand when he can. Highly recommend!

I don’t usually write reviews but we had come here for my family members birthday dinners and the service was incredible we even got to meet Earnest himself, he is a very sweet man. Very delicious food from the appetizers to the desert, I got the ribeye steak and it was cooked very good and the baked potato with crawfish on the side is so yummy! They made my family feel very attended to. I can’t recommend this place enough!
