I believe this place has potential and need a few things to get this restaurant filled with guest! The patio is huge and has a beautiful view but the smoke will deter you from enjoying the outside. We went outside because of the smoke inside. Our first waitsress RayJean was awesome and our second waitress Mickey closed it out for us and saved the day! Mickey was very well groomed, polite and made sure we didn’t have any problems. I will grade the food as a C-, the spinach was good, food prices a little steep and last but not least a dude was asking us while we are eating did we want to buy sunglasses?? Yes he had sunglasses for sale at the restaurant. The End….

I attended a birthday party during brunch hours. There was no DJ. They had a device playing music on repeat. There was only one server and we had a party of at least 35. Needless to say, it took a while to get our orders placed. Darinda did an amazing job with the level of pressure she must have been under. The dish I ordered was good. I ordered catfish and grits. The grits were very creamy and rich. The catfish was crispy and fresh. There was a discrepancy with the menu. They listed breakfast potatoes, but actually served fries as a substitute with no prior notification. The furniture looked old, dirty and outdated. For the hype and 2 Chainz name to be attached to this establishment, I expected more professionalism and a seamless experience.

It’s dirty, dusty & rusty in this place. The video I uploaded is of the lights above the bar. There was also a spider hanging from all of that. I moved seats because I did not want to eat under that. The women’s restroom was nasty which was surprising because it wasn’t busy enough for the restroom to look like that. It’s apparent they focus more on the back of house than the front of house.

Had a chance to eat here Sunday night. It wasn’t crowded as it was around 11 pm when we arrived. We waited a while for the food but when we did get it, my food (catfish and grits) was delicious! Will definitely come back. My only complaint was I ordered water with my meal but wasn’t told it was bottled Fiji water and it was 5 dollars! Next time I’m ordering a real drink

I went here after I left the movies with my friend and I had the shrimp tacos and she had the hamburger! The fries were delicious! Both meals were good and we came around 12 midnight. The food was served in takeout containers and the drinks were served in plastic cups. The waitresses were nice and entertaining. The atmosphere was cool and empty.

Went here on a Sunday it was completely empty. Waited 35 min for food and still ended up not eating. When I asked how long on our food the waitress said another 15 min. Me and my bf paid for drinks and left. You mean to tell me it takes 50 min to cook breakfast/brunch food when we were the only people in there.

I’m so sad… I visited here about 4 times and today made the fifth. My food was fresh and hot the service was great the drinks was great../ while I was enjoying my meal…. A healthy looking roach came down the wall… I get it restaurants probably have them but they should invest in weekly pest control cause my stomach turned the rest of the time and I couldn’t finish my food. I liked this place but I can’t frequent where I see the bugs 🙁

So I’ve visited the Escobar on Peter’s St. and was not pleased by the customer service and I feel the same way about this location with the exception of 1 beautiful waitress by the name of Ebony; such a kind, attentive and fun waitress. Let’s start from the beginning….when we entered there was no hostess to greet or seat us. There was only maybe 5 customers at the bar and no one was in the main area so it was totally empty. We stood there at the hostess station for atleast 5 minutes when one of the employees from behind the bar said you guys can seat anywhere, ok cool. We sat in the main area for atleast 30-45 min before I had to try to wave done an employee, who ignored me because she was about to clock because her shift had ended. I found out this after we was waited on by Ebony and I watch the unprofessional employee clock out. I even stood up to go towards her and she sped up to get to the back. I was so irritated at that. I ask another young lady (who was Ebony) who was our waitress because no one has been to the table and we didn’t have any menus or drinks and it was our 1st time coming here. Ebony completely turned everything around got us our menus took our orders and kept the drinks coming. She made it an experience and whom ever does the hiring for both locations missed the mark on they’re hiring and/or training process, but they chose a great waitress by choosing Ebony. If Escobar had more waiters & waitress like her this establishment would be so much better. Just because this is owned by a celebrity doesn’t mean its great because it was not. The food was just ok, loved the music.

The best place on the Southside to get some great food and drinks, and listen to music while doing it. It is also much larger than the downtown location. I love going for brunch, but they stay open late on weekends too. Oh, and the patio is also huge. You really can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a place to with a small or big group to have a nice time while on this side of town.
