My husband and I are from El Paso, Tx, so we grew up with good Mexican food being on the side of the border. This restaurant has the authentic Mexican food taste. The service was great too, and the food didn’t take long to come out. We highly recommend it!

Delicious Spanish food and this place looks amazing after the renovation. Very nice decor and the addition of the bar area is a nice addition. Staff were friendly and some were bilingual. Prices on the other hand were on the price side and it would be a great place for a nice dinner or a date. There’s lots of free parking and and is located at the beginning of the plaza.

Today I had a business lunch date at Esmeralda’s. I was very happy to see a vegetarian option as I am vegan. It was delicious. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla for my dad to take out. My plate was had so much good I had to take some home. Restaurant is clean. Staff friendly and our waitress recognized me from my work.

Food was delicious. We were seated right away, but there was a 20 min wait before anyone came to take our order or provide drinks. Staff was great once we did get service and service was efficient soon after.

Absolute fantastic service! The “mexican” chimichanga wasn’t to my taste, as I like spicy food, but the restaurant should please those who love cuban food. The enchiladas ordered by another member of my party also were somewhat bland, so again, I can’t recommend this restaurant for mexican; however, the pork chop dinner was more spicy, and copious, wish I had ordered that. The decor was quite pretty, the only negative was that there were two sources of music going, and so all we ended up hearing was noise.

This was our third time trying Esmeraldas. I want to like it but just can’t. The food is pretty good! The service is always terrible. The drinks are expensive and not great. Plus everytime we have sat there with empty drinks for a long time before being able to even order another, forget being asked if you want one. The menu is not organized and doesn’t have any pictures. They look like a last minute print out, but have been this way since they opened. Their prices don’t match the service and atmosphere.
