I came here yesterday to deliver an order for them on behalf of DoorDash. I was friendly and asked “hola, como estas” in an American accent when I walked in, and instantly got a nasty look from a white guy behind the counter wearing an American flag on his head. We just had our wedding catered by them and I can’t brag enough how fresh and amazing the food was!! It was so delicious the guests were raving about it days after too! The professional relationship we had with Bob organizing everything leading up to the event was great, he was always eager to answer any of our questions or concerns. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

The food was good, the people were friendly, but first of all for 3 people to get breakfast and be $70 and then they charged for EACH topping we got on our omlettes, even though the menu said 3 were included. They forgot one person’s toast, toast wasn’t buttered. I could get past some of these things but it was definitely not worth paying $70 for the portions we got.

Essl’s Dugout is an absolute gem. The location is cozy and the food is phenomenal. The new owners that took over Bob & Cary are so welcoming and genuinely love the business they’re in. They’ve expanded Essl’s brick and mortar to include a food truck and catering options. The food truck grub is just as outstanding as the restaurant. If you’re in for breakfast you can’t go wrong with a Messl a giant delicious breakfast sandwich that has everything you could possibly want on one roll. If spot the food truck out make sure you get the Smoked Brisket & Queso over French Fries, you will not regret it!
