To me, in order for a local, non-chain restaurants chain to be memorable and worth repeating, it should work to excel in one of three qualities: food, service, or setting. The food at Ethel & Fred’s was okay. The service was acceptable, but not good. But the most noticable thing to me was the setting. It was really just blah. Like nobody has taken any effort to make the place nice.

This is your basic budget-friendly mom and pop breakfast lunch place nothing fancy the food was great this is amazingly friendly we’re drop her dog off at the vet and the waitress gave us these doggie treats as we were leaving and just really made our day I highly recommend this place

Definitely check this place out!! I got breakfast potatoes with jalapenos and onions and a pancake. Both had amazing flavor. The coffee was absolutely amazing too. I’m very picky on my coffee. Very good flavor. We’ll definitely be back. Family of 6 under for $57. Our waitress was incredible too!! Loved this place all around

Being generous. Annah’s standard breakfast was average and made to order. BLT sucked. Wrong type bread, bacon crumbles and home fries were burnt and no seasoning. Tomato was green/pink. My breakfast sandwich was okay. Dry hamburger bun. Server was pleasant but food is mediocre.

This is a great place to get a home cooked breakfast. This is not a fancy place but I love the feeling I get early in the morning sitting here with a cup of coffee and getting some eggs and bacon. It’s quiet and the food is made quickly. The prices are really affordable and you can get a plate with coffee for about $8. The wait staff is really helpful, kind and down to earth. I haven’t tried the lunch yet, but everything seems really good here

Very disappointed. I know they’ve been there a long time and I’d like to know why? Hubby said bathroom was disgusting and old, our food was barely edible, and, they got hubby’s wrong, nobody ever checked back to see how everything was, never even asked us while checking out, and nobody ever came to offer coffee refills. They are not cheaper than other places either so we don’t understand why people would eat there.
