I was born and raised in Treviso, Italy and attended Culinary School in Venice, Italy. I came to Los Angeles as a young chef sponsored by Gio’s restaurant on Sunset Blvd. I opened Bocca on Melrose, Bistango in Irvine, Rex in Newport Beach, and ventured out to Honolulu, Hawaii, with Nick’s Fish Market. The last 15 years have been spent in Carlsbad. I am most recognized for my 10-year career as the creator of West Steak and Seafood as well as Bistro West in Carlsbad. I also spent a few years with ChartHouse at Dana Point. I reside in San Marcos, and am so excited to share my point of view with San Marcos! I am now venturing out on my own with a small restaurant in San Marcos where I am putting my name, knowledge, expertise to work.

Eugenio’s restaurant is a small restaurant but it’s what makes it better in my opinion. It’s so cozy and as soon as you enter you will notice how hard the chef and his helper are working. The food does take some time to come out but it’s well worth the wait because it was the best Italian I have ever had here in the states. I really hope this small business can continue succeeding in the long road!

Delicious food, my husband had a margarita pizza. I enjoyed a chicken piccata with lemon capers, extremely tender, and delicious chicken with buttery soft lemon flavor pasta. Fresh salad. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is everything the other reviewers said it is. It’s a hidden gem in an unassuming location with excellent food and service. I got the duck pappardelle and it was excellent. It was also a very nice serving size and I ate the second half of it the next day. The special appetizer that night was kind of cantelope with prosciutto. It was simple but very good. The wine options were nice and I enjoyed a very nice red blend. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations were very helpful. Don’t let the strip mall scare you away. This is excellent Italian food, evidenced by the fact that they opened right before COVID and they survived! Go visit Eugenio’s!

Small unassuming storefront. Made a reservation but only outside seating next to parking lot available. Not the prettiest spot. Lol

Delicious food, great service, in a small location (reservations recommended). A must try. Tried this place about 3 weeks ago via takeout as I was looking for Italian seafood in San Marcos. The Linguine Pescatore was amazing and somehow the leftovers were even better the next day. Loved it so much that I made reservations for 6 and brought friends. Everyone had a great time and everyone loved the food. Service is on point. Can’t wait to try more of the menu.

1st time here after reading rave reviews. No reservations so were seated outside on a blustery eve but my pork medallions alla funghi were beyond delish. As was the roasted artichoke appetizer. Best Italian in a long while. Not cheap but Eugenio is the class of San Marcos. Will definitely return

Delicious food. Everything was made from scratch and they were very flexible making items off menu. We had linguine carbonara, chicken piccata, lobster ravioli and cacio e Pepe. Would highly recommend! It’s the best Italian food I’ve found in North County San Diego.
