Evelyn’s Soul Food cuisine is located near the Tulsa airport and it’s not that particular easy to fine. I can say that their fried chicken dinner was about the best I’ve had anywhere. The chicken was from cooked to order, piping hot and seasoned perfectly. it was accompanied by collard greens and black-eyed peas. It is a bit remote for public restaurant, and it can take a while when they’re busy to take your order and to serve it but if you have the patience, I think you’ll find the wait well worth it.

We went for lunch today. I got fried chicken and my wife got the liver. It was excellent . Two thumbs up. I recommend going here for lunch.

Several staff at the nearby Tulsa Air and Space Museum, who were enjoying an Evelyn’s catered meeting, recommended we drive two minutes “down the street” to Evelyn’s for lunch. We did and weren’t sorry. Had cheeseburgers and french fries and half-and-half sweet iced tea. Tasty and the service was amiable!

The chicken was a bit peppery but flavored really well. I love how this place reminds me of home! Great spot when you’re in the mood for soul food

A few of us met at Evelyn’s for lunch. The service very nice. We got some beverages and waited our other friends to join us which took them forever to find the place. I believe a good suggestion might be to have a road sign, pointing in on myself and I have a problem finding it utilizing Google maps. I had the liver and onions, which was pretty good, we were in a bit of a rush as we were a part of filming a TV commercial at the airport. It took a while for us to be able to cash out our ticket. They seemed a bit busy and the hostess at the front counter seem to have quite a difficult time figuring out how to get the ticket together. Perhaps just in need of an upgraded order system? Overall, though I did enjoy Evelyn’s and I would definitely go back.

This is my first time at Evelyn’s and oh my goodness they’re amazing!! I had the fried catfish with corn and macaroni and cheese. Boy that food had so much flavor! My date had the friend chicken with smothered cabbage and macaroni and cheese. Each meal came with a bread choice, cornbread or a roll. Both were tasty! We also had sweet tea and unsweetened tea. I’ll definitely be going back sometime!

If you’re visiting the Tulsa air and space Museum or going to the Tulsa Zoo you’ve got to stop here for a meal. The liver and onions were fantastic and so were the sides. The daughter runs the place and her mother started it. She’s the one who runs the cashier.
