Had the 2 piece combo brisket & Ribs, med flavor BBQ sauce with green beans, mac n cheese, and for dessert peach cobbler. Love it meat was tended and full of flavor can’t go wrong with the green beans full flavor. Of course save the best for last the peach cobbler very sweat.

Waited an hour!Over charged! No Substitutions and btw u can’t get 2 of the same kind of meat for your meal so too bad if I only want one kind of meat… What kind of bbq place doesn’t have pulled pork or chicken??? No coleslaw??? No garlic fries!!And gave me 3 slices of wheat bread one being the end piece for 5 meals??? No butter!!! What happened to the corn bread???? And $4.50 for extra bbq sauce I’m going to tell everyone I know how horrible this place is now used to be bomb now a waste of time and money NEVER going back!!

I was really excited to try this place as everyone raves about it. Ordered 4 piece combo which they said would be barely enough for 2 people was more then enough. Let me start with presentation… As you can see from my photo it was drenched in their bbq sauce. It was way too much and made it almost unbearable to eat. Brisket and the links were probably the only thing I was able to somewhat enjoy. Even with all that sauce the chicken was dry and we ended up not eating it at all. Overall i was disappointed as I was excited i have a good bbq place in this area. Would not recommend

We purchased the full slab and the price with 2 sides was about the same as other BBQ restaurants that we’ve been to. Box was full of meaty ribs. We picked potato salad and beans. The sides could have been a little larger since there were 6 of us and still a lot of ribs left, but no sides left after one serving. I asked for extra sauce, but didn’t get enough for all the pieces. Overall, everything was delicious and will return again.

I have been to e&j in Oakland and really enjoyed the meal. I ordered 2 rib and brisket meals 65.00 I get home and the ribs r 2 inch end ribs and the brisket was the but end. Really dry. My dog would not eat it. I can understand you have to sell the shorter ribs and brisket ends. But to put them on 2 plates to go is not right. Every time someone gets a bad meal they will tell 10 people and they tell ten people. If you give a great meal people will tell everybody how great it is If you don’t fix it this restaurant will b closed by December. Live up to your standards

A great customer service is to make an eye contact and give pleasant smiles to customers. Well, I always got no eye contact nor smiles, but frowned faces from three different female cashiers on different occasions, the youngest one seems like she does not want to be there and acting like she’s doing me a favor on two occasions. Always tried to engage each of them in a pleasant mood but they are fixed to act their own ways with attitude and arrogance. Last 2 orders were not as good as the first 2 times I went, briskets were chewy, link casing is like a tough plastic, ribs were dry and as tough as if you were to chew on a rubber tire, macaroni is dry and chewy (I woder how do they cook it because macaroni and cheese should be a pretty simple recipe to make for softness.) Will not spend a dime at this place anymore because I’ll quit going to them for good.

Food was absolutley tasteless. Ordered the 2 way combo ribs and brisket. I didnt even know you could make ribs taste bad but these guys have nailed that. Couldnt even finish it. Service was atrocious, the cashier Nate never looked me in the eye, and talked in a low monotone voice like he didn’t want to be there. Train your people better or make better hiring decisions. Overall, DO NOT come here. Just order from the Habit right next to it.

Prices were insanely high, they were even trying to charge for condiments, I got the 3 meat combo and it was basically a bbq soup filled with way to much sauce and left over juice. The meat was swimming ♂️. Mac n Cheese was just mush and lacking texture and doesnt stand out.. very basic. There’s no Sandwich options which would probably help lower their prices and need to add more options to their sides which is lacking like possibly French fries if they know how to cook them properly. Definitely not going back

Overpriced for dry and tasteless meat. Ordered the dinner combo 4 so we could try everything and absolutely nothing was good. No bbq sauce, dry Mac and cheese, and the saddest brisket I’ve ever eaten. We will not be coming here again.
