We ordered the John Wayne burger and Chicken Fried Steak dinner. Both were AMAZING! Steak tasted fresh and not frozen, edges nice and crispy, and huge chunks of sausage in the gravy. Mashed potatoes were real lol. Nothing bad to say about our experience.

So disappointed at this place. Food took a while but I’m willing to wait for good food. Getting your order messed up on the most basic things is not cool. I had to go in to order because the kids menu was not available for take out. After I got my food the most important food (kids) was burnt and inedible. The pics say it all… not to mention forgotten sauce that’s on the receipt…. The worst pat is my wife tried to eat her food unlike me and our daughter and found a hair in her burger. The food was good as always, but we’ve never had poorer service. We got our drinks pretty quickly, and our orders were taken relatively quickly. But then we were either forgotten or ignored. Our food took longer than expected, even though it was slow. We waited 20+ minutes with our napkins on our plates, actually called out to servers more than once, and tried every time we saw someone in the dining area to catch someone’s eye. We finally ended up going to the front desk and asking for our bill.

Unfortunately, this is my first bad review. We were a group of six, and neither one of us could stomach our food. Even the mac&cheese was ruined. Sausage gravy was water, and food was over cooked. The waitress tried, but no experience led to poor service as well. I feel that if the place is dead, it shouldn’t take 45 minutes to finally get the appetizer, wich was cheese curds and cheese sticks. It was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a family restaurant. I hope they make some changes so that maybe I can return and update this review in the future.

For one, NOONE was in the restraunt. I knew by that there was something wrong with the place but I was hungry and had a 2 hour drive back home. Fast forward to getting food. Waitress never bring me the straws even tho I asked 3x. They had a TV in the restraunt and not even on. The food that came out. We ordered brisket. We asked if it was pork or beef and it was suppose to be beef but they bring us pork soup instead. Did not look like brisket, I’m not sure what it was. No way was we eating it. I asked for no bun on my burger as I can’t have carbs and they forgot and had gave me Cole slaw, I sent it back. It tasted like they just put some poppy seeds and mayo and threw it out. I got a salad and they sent it out with croutons knowing I told them no breading, no carbs. But ofcourse she sent that back too. The waitress shift was over she handed us over to the manager. She did not even greet herself or ask us how our food was, nothing. I was shocked. I told the owner about the food. We still got charged for the replacement meal of the brisket. To fix a issue, you fix it. It wasn’t our fault your cook was new. Train them properly and they will know what to do. I could of made this food at home for alot cheaper.

Of course I give 5 stars because this is literally my favorite restaurant! The Brisket is amazing, the Cobb Salad is awesome, (and I am picky about salads) the Ribs are terrific and both their regular and spicy sauces are yummy!
