Overall a great restaurant. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken the portions for the price is perfect. The smoked chicken taste great. The chef who I believed to be the owner was very nice he even offered me a Gatorade when I was leaving out the restaurant. I am not local to this area so I would say maybe not the best area to be in late night but everyone was very kind to me.

What a waste of money! Idon’t know if the rib are baked then barbecued or barbecued then baked. Or boiled first!Amazes me that they call those tips that are so badly cut tips. They ought to be ashamed of theirselves. Essentially you paying for a plate of mush . I bought a large tip and couldn’t recognize more than two tips. The rest just looked like 1 pan scraps with fries thrown over it. Any restaurant where you can’t see your food being prepared raises questions . That is absolutely not how you cut tips. I want to like this place but they’re not being honest with this. They are not too many barbecue places on the Southside anymore. Their lack of concern for the customers shows that they’re fully aware of it.

This is a review based on love. The bbq tips and plain fries were so good years ago .. and there is no reason why it can’t be that way again. Get real rib tips with chunk meat and go back to unbattered fries and I will be happy. I am willing to pay a little more for better quality, please.

It’s a takeout restaurant. They sell food. That’s what they do. And that’s why it’s good. I think they have the best barbecue on the south side and they give you large portions for the money. If you like barbecue then this is one place to try.

The restaurant provides affordable lunch specials. Many senior residents in the area visit between 11am-2pm. The fried chicken wings with mild sauce are my favorite.

Food was so awful that I threw alot of it out. Links so dry and tough, tips overcooked and cut wrong so that it was and to chew, sauce had an bitter taste and not enough on meat , frys were not done and seasoned . I can’t afford to waste money these days, and wanted to have a treat but I was disappointed greatly .

The smell led me here, as I’ve been told if you can’t smell the bbq the food ain’t good . It was a few 1st timers like myself whose nose led the way. It was also a regular there who said the bbq was the best on the south side (jury still out lol). I ordered the large tips…they were tender with a smoky taste which is always a plus…the sauce which I believe is their own recipe could be sweeter…I added some Sweet Baby Ray’s which put the meal over the top. I will visit again. Don’t forget CASH ONLY.

Called several times to place an order!! No answer but I get to this establishment & the cashier is standing right there!! Why do you have a phone if you’re not going to answer it!! I was told by a customer that was standing in the lobby that they answer the if they feel like it he looked at the cashier and said she told me that!! Cashier didn’t deny the accusation!! Plz do better!! I wanted to place my order for pick up because I was on my way to work & that would’ve been easier for me!! Since no one answered the phone I couldn’t place an order
